WARNING: DISTURBING CONTENT
Since the atrocities of Hamas’ October 7 terror attacks on Israel, anti-Israel activists have waged an incessant campaign to discredit the overwhelming evidence of sexual violence inflicted on Israeli women by the terrorists.
Vicious attempts to belittle the suffering of Israeli victims of sexual violence at the hands of Hamas terrorists are particularly despicable. The glee with which some of the rape deniers pronounce their false claims is extremely disturbing.
The main argument deniers rely upon – that there are no first-hand accounts of the assaults – is an assertion that is absurd on its face since most of the victims were murdered.
But even living survivors have been subjected to unprecedented slander. The vitriolic campaign waged against released hostage Amit Soussana, for example, illustrates the depravity of pro-Hamas activists in their efforts to discredit the testimonies of witnesses and survivors and detract from the savagery of the Hamas assaults.
Similar to Holocaust denial, claims that these sexual atrocities were fabricated are made to dehumanize Jews. The fact that horrific sexual violence occurred on October 7 further stands in the way of the false narrative pushed by terror supporters that Hamas terrorists – as well as Gaza civilians who also took part in the rape frenzy – are actually “freedom fighters.”
Our new video, Rape Denial: The New Way to Dehumanize Jews, shines a light on the so-called “journalists” and anti-Israel activists pushing the shameful rape denial narrative.
The video brings proof of the sexual violence that occurred during Hamas’ October 7 terror attacks on Israel and intersperses this evidence with clips of pro-Hamas activists making their outrageous dismissive claims.
The rape deniers depicted in our new video include:
Activists
Nerdeen Kiswani is the founder and leader of the anti-Israel organization Within Our Lifetime (WOL). Organizing rallies across New York, she has spread hatred of America and called for the death of Zionists. She is a vocal leader in the pro-terror movement in the U.S. and was given a platform on Piers Morgan Uncensored, where she shared her support for Israel’s destruction and terror groups.
A well-known New York-based anti-Israel activist, Linda Sarsour promotes BDS and has expressed support for the destruction of Israel. She was a leader in the Black Lives Matter and the Women’s March movements, where she infamously excluded Jewish women, claiming one cannot be both a feminist and a Zionist. In 2011, she explicitly attacked prominent conservatives Brigette Gabriel and Ayaan Hirsi Ali on social media.
Ghada Karmi is a British BDS spokesperson who denies Israel’s right to exist. She has supported antisemite Jeremy Corbyn, attempted to legitimize Hamas and spread historical revisionist ideas in her role as a Research Fellow at the Institute of Arab and Islamic Studies, University of Exeter.
Susan Sarandon is a famous Hollywood actress and anti-Israel activist. Pro-terror supporters have leveraged her celebrity to draw attention to their cause. Since October 7, she drew a lot of media attention for saying, “There are a lot of people that are afraid…of being Jewish at this time and are getting a taste of what it feels like to be a Muslim in this country so often subjected to violence.”
Journalists
Ahmed Shihab-Eldin worked as a reporter and producer for Al Jazeera English, The New York Times, Huff Post and PBS. He attended Columbia University's Graduate School of Journalism. Utilizing his acceptance in mainstream media, he has pushed antisemitic and anti-Israel views.
Jeremy Scahill is a terror-supporting journalist who co-founded The Intercept, a left-wing publication. In July 2024, he left The Intercept and launched Drop Site News. He started his career as an intern at Democracy Now! and worked as a national security correspondent for The Nation. Since October 7, he has met with Hamas officials and acted as an apologist for their atrocities, touting tropes of “legitimate resistance” and Israel’s “genocidal war.” He also said, “October 7th didn't happen in a vacuum.”
Max Blumenthal is the editor-in-chief of the anti-Israel news website The Grayzone. Over the years, he faced accusations of acting as an apologist for dictatorships, including Russia, China and Syria. After October 7, he made false claims about Israel and pushed numerous blood libels. Blumenthal said, “Israel is inventing stories of mass rape on October 7 to justify and distract from its deliberate, calculated mass slaughter of the best and brightest Palestinian women.”
Briahna Gray is a journalist and commentator who tried to legitimize the Hamas terror organization, rolled her eyes at the sister of an Israeli hostage discussing the rape of Jewish women and was ultimately fired from her position at The Hill. Gray earned a bachelor’s degree from Harvard University and a JD from Harvard Law School. She has promoted conspiracy theories on her social media and asserted that the United States is an apartheid state.
Nora Barrows-Friedman is a reporter and associate editor of The Electronic Intifada. A virulent anti-Israel activist, she has used her Jewishness to further her agenda of Israel’s destruction. On October 27, 2023, she wrote, “To all the nasty people weaponizing Jewish identity to center themselves as the victim while a literal holocaust is being waged on the Palestinian people: f**k you, f**k Zionism, f**k your crocodile tears. Grow the f**k up.”
Ali Abunimah is the executive director of the anti-Israel, pro-terror publication, The Electronic Intifada. A propaganda-pusher and antisemite, he has dedicated his website to spreading lies about Israel. Regularly equating Zionism with Nazism, he once wrote, “‘Israel’ must be removed from Palestine. Move it to Germany or Britain, where it belongs and where the elites adore, worship and aid its every barbaric crime. But this evil cannot remain on Palestine.”
This long list of prominent public figures and “journalists” who have promoted the rape denial narrative should face consequences. Canary Mission commends Sheryl Sandberg for her advocacy on this issue and concurs that it is urgent to expose lies and misinformation. Footage from Sandberg’s groundbreaking film, Screams Before Silence, is featured in the video.
We ask you to share this video and lay bare the hypocrisy and depravity of the so-called “journalists” and anti-Israel activists of our age who use their platforms to spread antisemitism and lies.
