Yasir Hamad
Yasir Hamad signed an anti-Israel letter during Israel’s war against Hamas terrorists. Israel launched the war after the October 7, 2023, terror attacks.

The May 8, 2024 letter Yasir Hamad signed accused Israel of “genocide” in its war against Hamas and showed support for the pro-terror campus encampments. It also endorsed elements of the Boycott, Divestment, Sanctions (BDS) movement.
At the time of the signing of the letter, Yasir Hamad's LinkedIn said he was a critical care research fellow at NIH, which is located in Bethesda, Maryland.
As of October 2025, Yasir Hamad was listed as an assistant professor in the Division of Pulmonary, Allergy, Critical Care and Sleep Medicine at the University of Minnesota Medical School (UMTC), which is located in Minneapolis, Minnesota.
