Iman Abid’s Calls to Destroy America & Israel, Support for Terrorism & Hatred of Zionists
Iman Abid [Iman Abid-Thompson] has called to destroy America and Israel, showed support for terrorism, denied Hamas war crimes and spread hatred of Zionists and Israel.As of September 2024, Abid’s LinkedIn said she had been working as the director of advocacy and organizing at the United States Campaign for Palestinian Rights (USCPR) since January 2022. USCPR supports the anti-Israel Boycott, Divestment, Sanctions (BDS) movement.
Abid is also affiliated [00:08:25] with the Palestinian Youth Movement (PYM), a national pro-terror activist group.
On October 20, 2023, less than two weeks after Hamas terrorists attacked Israel, Abid spoke [00:00:06] at an anti-Israel protest organized by the pro-terror organization American Muslims for Palestine (AMP). Other speakers included anti-Israel congresswomen Rashida Tlaib and Cory Bush, as well as AMP executive director Osama Abuirshaid.
As of September 2024, Abid’s X bio said she was located in Washington, D.C.

On October 6, 2024, during Israel’s war against Hamas terrorists, Abid posted on X: “This October 7th, may you remember that we aren’t fighting just [Israeli prime minister Benjamin] Netanyahu, but the entirety of Zionism. An ethnocracy has no right to exist. We Palestinians will remain on our land, and we will return home.”

Zionism is the belief that Jews have the right to self-determination in their own national home, and the right to develop their national culture. Zionism is a core part of the identity of most Jews.
The “right of return” is a Palestinian demand discredited as a means to eliminate Israel.
On May 26, 2024, BreakThrough News uploaded a video to YouTube featuring Abid speaking at the People’s Conference for Palestine in Detroit, Michigan, where she spread hatred of Israel and America. The conference was co-organized by PYM and was held during Israel’s war against Hamas terrorists, launched after Hamas murdered approximately 1,200 Israelis on October 7, 2023.
In her speech, Abid said [00:08:25]: “For the last seven months, our movement has made calls to demand a total and permanent ceasefire. We have asked for all U.S. military funding to end to Israel, and we have demanded that the siege on Gaza be lifted.”
Israel and Egypt implemented a UN-approved [pp. 39–41] joint blockade of the Gaza Strip in 2011 to stop Hamas from acquiring more sophisticated rockets. Hamas went around the blockade by smuggling weaponry through tunnels under the Philadelphi corridor separating Gaza from Egypt.
Abid further said [00:08:40]: “Despite all efforts by the pro-Israel lobby to shut down any of our demands from being met, it is we who have gotten those in power to finally start listening to us.”
The “Israel Lobby” is a conspiracy theory alleging Israeli and Jewish control over the U.S. government. Proponents of the theory decry the negative effects on American interests, particularly in foreign policy.
Abid added [00:09:00], referring to America: “While we continue to push on our demands, we know that dismantling the heart of empire is not easy and it won't be rapid. But we know it's possible!”
On March 24, 2024, Abid posted on X: “Zionism is about whiteness, it is about white and racial supremacy. It’s about believing that a group of people is superior to the indigenous population. It is about believing that ethnic cleansing is justified when it’s about their colonial interests.”
On December 31, 2023, Abid posted on X: “in this new year, I pray for a liberated Palestine, the return to our land, and for Zionism to be dismantled…”

Ramadan is frequently marked by increased anti-Israel and antisemitic rhetoric throughout the Arab world, Palestinian violence in Israel and heightened tensions centered in the Old City of Jerusalem.
