Vanessa Fabbre

Vanessa Fabbre signed [p. 8] an open letter that spread hatred of Israel and promoted the Boycott, Divestment, Sanctions (BDS) movement.

The profilee's activism occurred during Israel’s war against Hamas, which Israel launched after the October 7, 2023, terror attacks when Hamas murdered nearly 1,200 Israelis, injured thousands and kidnapped hundreds.

Signatories of the May 3, 2024 letter were affiliated with The Brown School of Social Work (The Brown School) at Washington University in St. Louis, Missouri (WashU).

The open letter Vanessa Fabbre signed alleged Israel was committing an “ongoing genocide” in its war against Hamas. The letter was also in support of the April 2024 anti-Israel encampment at WashU, where approximately 100 activists were arrested.

Nearly 200 anti-Israel college encampments were set up in North America in spring 2024. Activists harassed Jews with antisemitic slurs, expressed their support [00:02:45] for Hamas terrorism and called [00:04:45] for Israel's destruction. They blocked Jews from campus facilities and limited access to those with special wristbands or who said they weren't a Zionist.

As of April 2026, Vanessa Fabbre was listed on the WashU website as an associate professor at The Brown School. Her areas of focus were: "Queer gerontology / Critical and anti-oppressive social work practice / Interpretive methodology."
