Melina Pappademos

Melina Pappademos signed an anti-Israel letter during Israel’s war against Hamas terrorists. Israel launched the war after the October 7, 2023, terror attacks.

Hamas murdered approximately 1,200 Israelis, injured thousands and kidnapped hundreds more that day. For more information, see the Canary Mission page on Hamas.

The May 8, 2024 letter Melina Pappademos signed accused Israel of “genocide” in its war against Hamas and showed support for the pro-terror campus encampments. It also endorsed elements of the Boycott, Divestment, Sanctions (BDS) movement.

As of August 2025, Melina Pappademos was listed as an associate professor in the Department of History at the College of Liberal Arts and Sciences at the University of Connecticut (UConn).

As of the same date, Melina Pappademos was also listed as a faculty affiliate of UConn's Africana Studies Institute and El Instituto: Institute of Latina/o, Caribbean, and Latin American Studies.

UConn is located in Storrs, Connecticut.
