Muhammad Elsabbal

Muhammad Elsabbal [Muhammad Yasser Elsabbal] was arrested at a pro-Hamas encampment at the University of Connecticut (UConn) during Israel’s war against Hamas terrorists. Israel launched the war after the October 7, 2023, terror attacks.

On April 30, 2024, Muhammad Elsabbal was arrested for first-degree criminal trespass and disorderly conduct at the UConn encampment, according to records obtained from the UConn Police Department.

The encampment was part of a national movement on college campuses during Israel’s war against Hamas. The encampments were also in support of the Boycott, Divestment, Sanctions (BDS) movement.

In May 2024, the CT Insider reported that Muhammad Elsabbal was an organizer of the encampment demonstrations on the UConn campus.

As of March 2025, Muhammad Elsabbal was affiliated with the anti-Israel campus group Students for Justice in Palestine (SJP).

As of the same date, Muhammad Elsabbal's LinkedIn profile said he attended UConn from 2019 to 2024. He was listed on the UConn website in 2022 as having studied political science.

In 2022, Muhammad Elsabbal was listed online as the president of the anti-Israel campus group Muslim Student Association (MSA) at UConn Hartford and as the diversity chair of MSA at UConn Storrs.

As of March 2025, Muhammad Elsabbal's LinkedIn said he was located in Hartford County, Connecticut.
