As of January 2025, Maija Anstine's LinkedIn profile said she worked as an instructor of violin and viola at Carnegie Mellon University (CMU), and as an adjunct professor of viola at Chatham University (Chatham). Both schools are located in Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania.

On March 2, 2024, PSL Pittsburgh, PPC and other anti-Israel organizations held an anti-Israel protest at the Federal Building in Pittsburgh, PA. Material promoting the event accused Israel of "Genocide" in Gaza during its war against Hamas terrorists.
