Youssef Mubarez
Youssef Mubarez spread hatred of Israel online in 2024, referring to a 2023 video of Israelis being kidnapped by Hamas as "Propaganda." He is also a supporter of the Boycott, Divestment, Sanctions (BDS) movement.
Mubarez's wrote his social media posts during Israel’s war against Hamas, which Israel launched after the October 7, 2023, terror attacks when Hamas murdered nearly 1,200 Israelis, injured thousands and kidnapped hundreds.
As of January 2026, Mubarez was listed as a member of the transition team for New York City mayor Zohran Mamdani, serving on the Small Business & MWBEs [Minority and Women-Owned Business Enterprise] Committee.
Mamdani has called for dismantling capitalism and promoted hatred of the police. He has also justified Hamas terrorism and glorified terror supporters. On his first day as mayor, he revoked executive orders designed to combat antisemitism, including increased police protection at synagogues, and nullified a ban on city officials to boycott Israel.
Also as of January 2026, Mubarez's LinkedIn said he was the founding member of MOKAFÉ and the president of Merchant World.
As of the same date, Mubarez was listed as the president of the Yemeni American Merchants Association (YAMA).
