Trent Scribner

Trent Scribner was arrested in May 2024 during an anti-Israel sit-in at Hadley Hall on the New Mexico State University (NMSU) campus. During the same academic year, Scribner was reportedly an officer in the Students for Justice in Palestine (SJP) chapter at NMSU (SJP NMSU).

The profilee's activism occurred during Israel’s war against Hamas, which Israel launched after the October 7, 2023, terror attacks when Hamas murdered nearly 1,200 Israelis, injured thousands and kidnapped hundreds.

On May 9, 2024, Trent Scribner was reportedly arrested and charged with "criminal trespass and resisting or obstructing" at the sit-in, which took place in the wake of NMSU’s pro-Hamas encampment.

The encampment was part of a national movement on college campuses in 2024, during Israel’s war against Hamas. The encampments were also in support of the Boycott, Divestment, Sanctions (BDS) movement.

On December 2, 2024, The Round Up, the NMSU student newspaper, reported that Trent Scribner was an SJP NMSU officer.

On the same date, Trent Scribner was also listed as a student at NMSU.

NMSU is located in Las Cruces, New Mexico.
