Sidney Carlson White
Sidney Carlson White [Sid C.W.] has expressed support for terrorism, promoted hatred of America and the police, and praised America's enemies, as a leader in the Democratic Socialists of America (DSA).
Sidney Carlson White has also glorified communist mass murderers, called for the destruction of Israel and spread hatred of Israel and Zionists. He is a supporter of the Boycott, Divestment, Sanctions (BDS) movement. The DSA has spread anti-Semitism online.
As of August 2025, White was listed on the DSA website as a member of its 2025-2027 National Political Committee (NPC). He has been a member of the New York City chapter of the DSA (NYC-DSA) since at least 2020.
White was an organizer in the election campaign of 2025 New York mayoral candidate and DSA member Zohran Mamdani.
Mamdani's anti-America and far-left activist network, which includes the DSA, helped him win the 2025 Democratic Party primary. He won the general election in November 2025.
DSA's ideology includes anti-American and abolitionist elements. DSA justified Hamas murdering 1,200 Israelis on October 7, 2023. Notable members are activist Linda Sarsour and Congresswoman Rashida Tlaib.
As of August 2025, White was listed online as a curatorial assistant at the Jackie Robinson Museum (JRM). His X bio said he was located in Brooklyn, New York.
On June 19, 2025, White posted on X: "Zohran Mamdani’s readiness to defend 'Globalize the Intifada' as a core slogan of resistance to capitalism and settler colonialism is beyond commendable. DSA’s electoral projects are strongest when their mouthpieces use their platform to change the narrative on issues like these."
The term “intifada,” which translates from Arabic as “uprising” or “insurrection,” carries the connotation of violence. Palestinian intifadas waged against Israel have been marked since 1987 by hundreds of hijackings, shootings, stabbings, bombings and suicide missions.
Among Palestinians and anti-Israel activists, the term “resistance” is a euphemism for nationalistic terror and is used to glorify and encourage anti-Israel and anti-Semitic violence.
On January 13, 2024, while White was a DSA member, DSA posted on X: "DSA demands an immediate and permanent cessation of hostilities by the US against Yemen and an end to military support of Israel..."
Following the outbreak of Israel’s 2023 war against Hamas, Houthi terrorists attacked commercial ships off Yemen’s Red Sea coast and launched missiles into southern Israel. Like Hamas, the Houthi movement is backed by Iran, and is designated as a terror group by the United States, Saudi Arabia and other countries.
The Houthi slogan reads: “God is the Greatest / Death to America / Death to Israel / A Curse Upon the Jews / Victory to Islam.”
On October 9, 2023, two days after Hamas terrorists attacked Israel, DSA posted on Instagram a statement that said [slide 1]: "DSA is steadfast in expressing our solidarity with Palestine. / Today’s events are a direct result of Israel’s apartheid regime—a regime that receives billions in funding from the United States. / End the violence. End the Occupation. Free Palestine."
“Free Palestine” is a chant that has been described as a "battle cry for the death of Jews.” In May 2025, two Israeli diplomats in Washington, D.C., were murdered by a gunman shouting “Free Palestine!” In June 2025, one pro-Israel activist was killed and over 25 were injured in Boulder, Colorado, when a man yelling “Free Palestine” firebombed them.
On October 7, 2023, Hamas murdered approximately 1,200 Israelis, kidnapped hundreds and wounded thousands. War crimes included mass rape and torture. Many Palestinian civilians participated in and supported the attacks, and Gazans working in the targeted Israeli communities gave intelligence to Hamas on where to strike.
For more information, see the Canary Mission page on Hamas.
The statement further read [slide 2], referring to Hamas' October 7, 2023 terror attack: "...This was not unprovoked. / For over 60 years, Palestinians have faced ethnic cleansing, torture, bombings, and housing demolitions. Gaza is still under a blockade."
Israel and Egypt implemented a UN-approved [pp. 39–41] joint blockade of the Gaza Strip in 2011 to stop Hamas from acquiring more sophisticated rockets. Hamas went around the blockade by smuggling weaponry through tunnels under the Philadelphi corridor separating Gaza from Egypt.
On June 22, 2025, White posted on X: "...the U.S....does *not* appear to be a dying empire as much as we wish it to be or as much as some of the Left proposes. We’re still in the belly of the beast."
On May 1, 2024, White posted on X: "...Fight American Empire. Struggle for socialism. Demand a new democratic republic!"
On January 7, 2021, White posted on X: "America *is* exceptional in that its nature and existence as a settler state is fundamentally different in its destructiveness and evils than the rest of the West..."
On June 13, 2025, White posted on X: "The NYPD [New York City Police Department] is a colonial army that must be defunded—and eventually abolished. It's disappointing to see so many in DSA retreat on this issue over the past five years. The power of the police in American cities is a barrier to both socialism and democracy. It needs to be confronted."
On July 30, 2025, White posted on X, referring to the police: "...Abolition is the north star."
On July 31, 2025, White posted on X: "The issue is not whether we're going to get Zohran to say 'F**k the police' or not..."
On November 2, 2024, while White was a DSA member, the group posted on X: "Cuba’s resilience is legendary, but the U.S. blockade’s toll is relentless...Join our campaign to stand with Cuba..."
On February 28, 2021, White posted on X: "Cuba is very consistently worth defending in most contexts. With the USSR, I would say vague things like 'we have some things to learn from them' but they’re not really worth defending. With Iran, you can say 'their anti-imperialism merits some inspection,' in a few cases."
On October 22, 2020, DSA posted on X: "Russia is not the problem. China is not the problem. The problem is a global system of capitalism..."
On April 14, 2025, White posted on X: "Marx, Engels, Lenin, and so many others understood the profound importance of electoral work under systems that were far more undemocratic than ours..."
Vladimir Lenin (1870-1924) was the communist leader of the Bolshevik Party. He founded Soviet Russia in 1917 and was its dictator until he died in 1924. He was the dictator of the Union of Soviet Socialist Republics (USSR) in 1922-1924.
On April 20, 2021, White posted on X: "...Lenin...Fidel Castro on some days..." in response to another post that said: "Who are your favorite socialists?"
The Cuban Revolution was an armed insurrection in Cuba in 1959 led by Fidel Castro that established a socialist state. The new regime was characterized by repression of dissent, torture and forced labor camps. Thousands of deemed enemies were executed by firing squads in stadiums and prisons, often with little or no due process.
On July 27, 2025, White posted on X: "...There can only be a one-state solution; Israel cannot continue to exist like this in any recognizable form..."
On June 3, 2025, White posted on X: "...The ongoing genocide in Palestine is an unspeakable evil..."
On July 29, 2024, White posted on X: "'There are already no Zionists in DSA' / Fine, let us keep it that way..."
On May 17, 2021, White posted on X, accusing Israel of "settler colonialism."
On May 11, 2021, White posted on X: "A two-state solution is still apartheid..."
The two-state solution envisions a resolution to the Israeli-Palestinian conflict by dividing the land between the Jordan River and the Mediterranean Sea into an Israeli Jewish state and a Palestinian Arab state.
On March 11, 2024, while White was a DSA member, the group posted on X: "'For decades, the American Israel Public Affairs Committee (AIPAC) has been a hawkish, warmongering, and bullying force in U.S. politics.'"
The stated mission of AIPAC is to “strengthen, protect and promote the U.S.-Israel relationship in ways that enhance the security of the United States and Israel.”
The implication that AIPAC buys political support for Israel has been described as playing into “anti-Semitic tropes” that led to “centuries of stereotypes about Jews using money to control the world.”
As of July 2025, White was a member of the Marxist Unity Group (MUG), a DSA faction whose points of unity include "Fight the Imperial Police State" and a "fight to overthrow the Constitution."
On July 21, 2025, White posted on X: "As the Zohran campaign picks up again, it might be interesting to try some noon Wednesday shifts, especially for trying to target some of the senior buildings across Brooklyn and Queens. In turn, it could help us build a constituency for this working group/formation."
On July 18, 2025, White posted on X: "Taking the Amtrak to Boston to talk to some comrades about Zohran’s victory and knocks some doors for the candidates there!..."
On July 10, 2025, White posted on X: "It was a pleasure to join @JesseForIndy today to talk to Dayton-Miami Valley DSA in Ohio about the Zohran campaign over zoom today. This campaign only matters if we can replicate its organizing successes across cities and towns across the country!"
On July 1, 2025, White posted on X: "NYC-DSA members: I've helped contribute to a resolution that we hope will build and strengthen collaboration between DSA and the Zohran campaign. There’s a lot here, but if you’re invested in the interplay between our electoral work and our other organizing practice, please sign!"
On June 25, 2025, White posted on X: "I remember freezing my a** off in December while I ran one of the trainings for our test canvass for Zohran last year..."
Democratic Socialists of America (DSA) is America’s largest socialist organization. Its core ideology includes anti-American, anti-Israel, anti-Western and abolitionist elements.
Following the October 7, 2023, Hamas terror attacks against Israel, DSA condemned Israel, expressed support for Hamas, endorsed anti-Israel rallies and called for members to engage in anti-Israel activism. It condemned Israeli retaliatory attacks against the IRGC and Hezbollah, as well as the U.S. attacks against the Houthi terror organization, whose slogan reads: "...Death to America / Death to Israel / A Curse upon the Jews...”
DSA first endorsed the anti-Israel Boycott, Divestment, Sanctions (BDS) movement in 2017 and it has also condemned sanctions against countries like Iran and Cuba.
The group endorses far-left politicians on the local, state and federal levels. DSA also promotes anti-Israel agitators, including DSA members Rashida Tlaib, Zohran Mamdani and Linda Sarsour.
Young Democratic Socialists of America (YDSA), DSA’s youth section active in high schools and colleges, has co-organized anti-Israel protests across the U.S. since October 7, 2023, particularly the April 2024 pro-terror encampments on university campuses.
The Boycott, Divestment, Sanctions (BDS) movement was founded by pro-terror activist Omar Barghouti in 2005 to turn “Israel into a pariah state, as South Africa once was.” Barghouti has also called for Israel's destruction and the BDS movement demands would result in that same goal.
BDS initiatives include calling on institutions and individuals to divest from Israeli-affiliated companies, promoting academic and cultural boycotts of Israel, and organizing anti-Israel rallies, protests and campaigns.
The movement’s most notable achievement has been infiltrating university campuses through lobbying for “BDS resolutions.” In these cases, student governments propose resolutions to boycott or divestment from Israel or Israeli-affiliated entities. BDS activity is often aggressive and disruptive. It has been noted that universities that pass BDS resolutions see a marked increase in anti-Semitic incidents and pro-terror activism on campus.
