Shakeema Koonce
Overview
Shakeema Koonce ripped down posters meant to raise awareness of Israeli civilians kidnapped by Hamas terrorists and held hostage in Gaza. The November 2023 incident occurred in New York, New York, where she is a recording studio executive secretary.
Hamas kidnapped the civilians, including women and children, during a series of terror attacks and war crimes that left over 1,200 Israelis dead, hundreds kidnapped and thousands wounded. Hamas executed the terror attacks on October 7, 2023. Their other war crimes included mass murder, torture, rape and beheadings.
Israel retaliated with a war called “Swords of Iron.”

Hamas has been designated as a terrorist organization by the U.S., Canada, European Union, Israel and other countries. Founded in 1987, it has killed thousands of Israeli civilians through mass shootings and suicide bombings. Hamas has also kidnapped children, families and the elderly and held them hostage in Gaza. It has desecrated [slide 7] dead bodies and launched numerous rocket attacks against Israeli civilians.
As of November 22, 2023, Koonce’s LinkedIn profile said she worked as an executive secretary at ABGR Studio in New York, New York. ABGR Studio is short for “A Bloody Good Record Studio.”
As of the same date, Koonce’s Clubhouse bio said she was an “NYC Based writer / director / actress / stylist / model / artist.”
As of November 22, 2023, Koonce’s LinkedIn said she graduated from John Jay College (John Jay), part of the City University of New York (CUNY), with a bachelor’s degree in criminology in 2019.
Koonce uses the alias “Tenebris Gignit,” which was the name she gave [00:00:01] while tearing down the posters.
Koonce was also listed on LinkedIn as “Shakeema (Jasmine) Koonce.” On one Instagram account, she went by “Jas.”
