Shaifali Puri

Shaifali Puri spread hatred of Israel and demonized an American Jewish organization's efforts to protect Jewish New Yorkers in 2025.

The profilee's statements were made during an extended period of global antisemitism that began with the October 7, 2023, terror attacks, when Hamas murdered nearly 1,200 Israelis, injured thousands and kidnapped hundreds. Israel immediately launched a war against Hamas.

As of January 2026, Puri was listed as a member of the transition team for New York City mayor Zohran Mamdani, serving on the Legal Affairs Committee.

Mamdani has called for dismantling capitalism and promoted hatred of the police. He has also justified Hamas terrorism and glorified terror supporters. On his first day as mayor, he revoked executive orders designed to combat antisemitism, including increased police protection at synagogues, and nullified a ban on city officials to boycott Israel.

As of February 2026, Puri's LinkedIn said she was a senior fellow at Bard College (Bard), which is in Annandale-on-Hudson, New York. Her LinkedIn said she was located in New York, New York.
