Nura Takkish

Overview

Nura Takkish has promoted violence against Jews, spread anti-Semitism, as well as bigotry on social media. She has also spread hatred of Israel and Zionists.

Takkish gained international attention when she and Maalak Ammari were victims of xenophobic harassment in 2016.

In 2014, Takkish was affiliated with the Muslim Students Association (MSA) at California State University at Fullerton (Cal State Fullerton).

As of September 28, 2018, Takkish was listed on the Cal State Fullerton College of Communications website as a senior, majoring in Communications with an emphasis in public relations.

As of June 2020, Takkish;s LinkedIn page said that she graduated from Fullerton College in 2015, with an associate’s degree in Social Sciences.

Her LinkedIn page also said that she was a public relations intern at the Orange County chapter of StandUp for Kids, since January, 2017.

As of the same date,Takkish’s LinkedIn page said that she was the Assistant Program Manager for the Islamic Institute Of Orange County (IIOC), where she “Proofread letter responses to prisoners for Director review,” helped prepare quarterly prison newsletters and managed the LinkOutside prison pen pal program.

Promoting Violence Against Jews

On July 8, 2014, Takkish tweeted: “Wallahi illi khatir awali3 kol kalb yahoodi bashoofo [By Allah I’m thinking of lighting up every Jewish dog I see on fire].”

On March 4, 2014, Takkish tweeted: “Wanna kick Zionist a** mannnnn.”

On December 4, 2013, Takkish tweeted: “@Fat_K411 you am mean. Don't you have something better to do than hate on a sister? Like throwing rocks at yahood [jews] or something?”

On November 13, 2013, Takkish tweeted: “Finished my csuf [California State University Fullerton] app. If I don't get in then I'm moving to palestine and throwing rocks at yahood [jews] for the rest of my probably short life.”

Spreading Anti-Semitism

On December 13, 2015, Takkish tweeted: “Peoples snapchat stories remind me to reply to their texts. Can’t watch their story without texting back Jew know.”

On October 15, 2015, Takkish tweeted: “Throw rocks at yahood [jews] and chill.”

On July 9, 2015, Takkish tweeted: “At the end of the day, Palestine is Ours and will always be Ours so I don't need to argue with some stank a** yahoodi [jew] who has no argument.”

That same day, Takkish tweeted: “I learned my lesson a long time ago not to get into it with yahood [jew] because it's an actual waste of life w bifhamoosh. Sha6ib [and they don’t understand. Crossed off].”

On July 12, 2014, Takkish tweeted: “Honestly the yahood [jews] destroyed my trip just like they destroy everything.”

On August 31, 2013, Takkish tweeted: “The fleas on my cat remind me of yahood [jews]. They won't leave.”

On August 18, 2013, Takkish tweeted: “El klab elyahood ista7oo yi3maloo fel 3arab Eli el3arab byi3maloo fba3ad [the jewish dogs were embarrassed to do to Arabs what Arabs do to each other"].”

On August 13, 2013, Takkish tweeted: “And says yiqta3 yahoodak [may the Jews be cut off]” adding: “ lmao to Palestinians everyone has yahood [jews] (demons)”

Spreading Bigotry

On February 3, 2016, Takkish tweeted: “I knew this white guy was about to talk to me today so I intensified my death stare to max cap and HE STILL TALKED TO ME.”

On October 30, 2015, Takkish tweeted: “I don't trust white people. Goodnight.”

On October 7, 2013, Takkish tweeted: “I'm over my group they're all a bunch of stupid white people tht think they're better than everyone.”

On September 12, 2013, Takkish tweeted: “There's always that annoying white person in class that has too much energy in the morning and I just.”

On September 4, 2013, Takkish tweeted: “God please all I want for my birthday is that you make this hideous Hindu bindi pimple go away ;( #BirthdayGirl.”

On July 22, 2013, Takkish tweeted: “White people. Boring. Soo boring. What is life with no culture.” Malaak Ammari responded: “omg I hate white people,” to which Takkish replied: “Astaghfarlah. But they hate everyone so.”

In response to a tweet that said: “lol but on standardized tests Middle East is under Caucasian and Asian is its own thing,” Takkish added: “that's just because we don't have chinky eyes lmao they're basing off looks I'm basing of the map.”

That same day, Takkish tweeted: “Thank god I'm not white that is all.”

Again that day, Takkish tweeted: “If Leah was a little more white than she was arab I wouldn't be her friend. Good thing she's only half.”

On March 5, 2013, Takkish tweeted: “Basically if you dress like a white boy, it's a deal breaker.”

Spreading Hatred of Israel

On May 3, 2013, Takkish tweeted: “Allahuakbar 3ala Israel Allah yintaqim minhom [Allah is bigger than Israel, may Allah have revenge on them].”

On May 8, 2014, Takkish tweeted: “Can't believe there are Palestinians that are pro Israel out there. Scum.”

On July 19, 2014, Takkish tweeted: “Why is there even a pray for Israel hashtag?? Gazans are the ones jailed in a death trap with no bomb shelters or decent medical attention.”

On March 21, 2016, Takkish tweeted: “#AIPAC2016 : who can blow Israel harder.”

Takkish’s tweet referred to the Annual Policy Conference held by the American Israel Public Affairs Committee (AIPAC).

The stated mission of AIPAC is to “strengthen, protect and promote the U.S.-Israel relationship in ways that enhance the security of the United States and Israel.”

On April 24, 2016, Takkish shared a photo of Dima Al-Wawi on Facebook.

On April 27, 2016, Takkish added in the comment section under the post: “It's very sad. No child should have to go through something like this.”

12-year-old Al-Wawi was imprisoned for attempting to stab a security guard at the Israeli community Karmei Tzur. Al-Wawi later claimed she intended to kill the guard and hoped she would be killed in the process. “I was dreaming that I was going to be martyred,” she said.

Spreading Hatred of Zionists

On July 29, 2016, Takkish tweeted: “LMFAO kal [he says] violent coming from a Zionist Israeli. Til7as ba3dak [Go lick yourself].”

On October 12, 2015, Takkish tweeted: “If Columbus were alive today he would definitely be a Zionist Israeli POS [Piece of S**t].”

On July 7, 2015, Takkish tweeted: “SOMEONE GET THESE DISGUSTING ZIONIST ISRAELI PIGS OFF SNAPCHAT PLZ.”

On January 26, 2015, Takkish tweeted: “I got into a fight with an Israeli Zionist haywaneh [animal (female)] at the mall yesterday. I won ofc [of course].”

On July 13, 2014, Takkish tweeted: “Up thinking about how much I hate zionists.”

On July 9, 2014, Takkish tweeted: “ew go away you Zionist piece of trash. I don't talk to brainwashed scum.” She then tweeted: “Zionist b*tcha** niggas don't @ me.”

MSA

The MSA was established by members of the Muslim Brotherhood in January 1963 at the University of Illinois, Urbana-Champaign, with the goal of "spreading Islam as students in North America." A 2004 FBI investigation uncovered an internal Muslim Brotherhood document in which a brotherhood leader identified the MSA as "one of our organizations."

The MSA reportedly has “nearly 600 chapters” located in the United States and Canada, and is “the most visible and influential Islamic student organization in North America,” boasting conferences, special events, publications, websites and other activities.

The organization includes a number of previous chapter presidents with explicit links to terrorist groups. Included are al-Qaeda cleric Anwar al-Awlaki (Colorado State University), Somali al-Shabaab militant leader Omar Shafik Hammami (University of South Alabama) and Pakistani Taliban recruiter Ramy Zamzam of the MSA's Washington, D.C. council.
