Sarina Ahmed reportedly signed an anti-Israel statement in support of the Boycott, Divestment, Sanctions (BDS) movement.

The profilee's activism occurred during Israel’s war against Hamas, which Israel launched after the October 7, 2023, terror attacks when Hamas murdered nearly 1,200 Israelis, injured thousands and kidnapped hundreds.

The January 15, 2024 statement Sarina Ahmed signed accused Israel of an “ongoing genocide of Palestinians in Gaza” as well as “apartheid [and] ethnic cleansing,” during its war against Hamas.

Signatories were affiliated with the State University of New York (SUNY), and the statement sought to develop “a SUNY-wide Boycott, Divestment, Sanctions (BDS) Movement…at all 64 SUNY campuses.”

As of March 2026, Sarina Ahmed's LinkedIn said she was studying for a bachelor's degree in psychology at Stony Brook University (SBU), slated to graduate in 2027.

SBU is located in Stony Brook, New York and is part of the SYNY system.

Also as of March 2026, Sarina Ahmed's LinkedIn said she was a volunteer crisis counselor at Crisis Text Line and a clinical intern and intake coordinator at SBU's Leonard Krasner Psychological Center.
