Sarah Rafati

Sarah Rafati has spread incitement and hatred of Israel supporters online. She has aso demonized Israel on social media. 

In February 2017, Rafati was a member of the Muslim Student Association (MSA) at the University of Texas at San Antonio (UTSA) Facebook group.

As of December 2020, Rafati was listed as a Registered Nurse with the Texas Board of Nursing with a current license, number 1001031, issued on 06/24/20 and slated to expire on 06/30/21. 

As of December 2020, Rafati’s LinkedIn page also said she was a Registered Nurse with the Texas Board of Nursing issued in June 2020 and slated to expire in June 2021. 

Rafati’s LinkedIn page said she worked as a nurse in the Methodist Healthcare System in San Antonio Texas, from “Dec 2020 - Present.” 

Rafati’s LinkedIn page also said she studied Nursing at the Baptist Health System School of Health Professions (BSHP), from “2018 - 2020,” and that she studied Public Health, Health Promotion and Behavioral Sciences at UTSA, from “2011 -2017.”

Rafati also wrote on her LinkedIn page that she held a Basic Life Support (BSL) license issued by the American Heart Association, issued in July 2020 and slated to expire in July 2022. Rafati also noted on her LinkedIn that she was: “fortunate enough to be a part of caring for patients in the emergency healthcare sphere.” 

As of December 2020, Rafati went by the name “Sarah R.” on LinkedIn.

Promoting Incitement

On May 11, 2021, Rafati wrote on Facebook: “this hardly even scratches the surface of what’s going on and the atrocities committed against native Palestinians by Israeli colonizers/terrorists.” 
 
Rafati continued: “they want to eradicate our very existence and have been trying to do so since 1948. what they fail to realize is that there is no other human being more resilient than a Palestinian.from the river to the sea, Palestine will one day be free. .”

Rafati’s post featured a post and video by American Muslims for Palestine (AMP) that said [00:00:07] “Israeli forces began their attack on Masjid [mosque] Al-Aqsa.”

On May 7-10, 2021, violent clashes broke out between Palestinian worshippers and Israeli police at the Al Aqsa compound, following claims the Al Aqsa mosque was in danger.

The allegation that Jews “threaten” to destroy the Al-Aqsa Mosque has been a traditional pretext for Arab attacks on Jews long before the existence of the modern Jewish state.

The Facebook video Rafati shared also claimed [00:46] that Israel was seeking to “ethnically cleanse” the Sheikh Jarrah neighbourhood in East Jerusalem.

In May 2021, Palestinian violence erupted in anticipation of an Israel High Court ruling on eviction proceedings concerning over 70 Palestinian tenants illegally residing in Jewish-owned properties in the Jerusalem neighborhood of Sheikh Jarrah. 

The video continued [00:00:52] by demonizing “Israeli drone attacks” on Gaza.

In May 2021, Hamas and Palestinian Islamic Jihad (PIJ) terrorists fired over 4,300 rockets from Gaza at major population centers in Israel. Israel responded by launching “Operation Guardian of the Walls(OGW),” carrying out targeted military strikes in Gaza. 

Rafati commented on the post, saying: “1. Hamas is the product of a 72-year-long unjust & illegal occupation and ethnic cleansing of native land. it’s not Israel vs. Hamas; it’s Israel vs. Palestinians.”

Rafati added: “2. the US currently funds Israel’s terrorism, so they’re obviously not going for the better interests of the natives whose homes are being stolen.”

Rafati concluded: “3. anytime the US gets itself involved in middle eastern affairs, they end up killing and destroying the livelihoods of innocent people.”

Hatred of Israel Supporters

On November 24, 2016, as Israel was ravaged by scores of wildfires that destroyedhomes and prompted the evacuation of tens of thousands of people, Rafati tweeted: “As a Palestinian, it's painful to see my stolen land burning to the ground. However, f**k Israel and every one of those who support it.”

On October 13, 2015, Rafati tweeted: “Unless they're a Zionist. Then, I'll be as rude, abusive, and insulting as possible, mufti.”

On June 20, 2015, Rafati tweeted a cartoon of a zombie searching for brains, staring at and then bypassing a man wearing a shirt with an Israeli flag design.

On May 6, 2015, Rafati tweeted: “@sarahajenin Too bad it's never gonna happen cuz he's a Zionist s**thead .”

On September 4, 2014, Rafati tweeted: “@palipeacock Indeed. Aside from him and the other Zionist leaders, I wouldn't celebrate anyone else's death.” 

On August 25, 2014, Rafati tweeted: “Zionists can't be human. They simply can't.”

On August 6, 2014, Rafati tweeted: “‘@YourAnonCentral: Only scum support Israel or its existence.’ Bam.”

On July 25, 2014, Rafati tweeted: “LOL @ this idiotic woman whose bio says ‘Hate genocide’ yet is a supporter of Israel. K .”

On July 19, 2014, Rafati tweeted: “Then again, Zionists are the most illogical beings on this planet. Complete morons, really.”

On July 14, 2014, Rafati tweeted: “@noneofyabeeeez Nah. There's even a khara [s**t] organization at my university called ‘Christians United for Israel’ .”

On July 13, 2014, Rafati tweeted: “You're a pathetic excuse of a human being if you even try to justify Israel's existence and actions.”

On February 1, 2017, Rafati tweeted that Israel sterilizes Ethiopian women “because Israel sees them as a cancer.” 

On January 21, 2017, Rafati tweeted the question “Why isn’t there peace in the Middle East?”, adding: “Israel. Duh.”

On the same day, Rafati tweeted the question “What’s the main root for all problems?” adding: “Israel.”

On November 5, 2016, Rafati tweeted a graphic of a flag with an excrement emoji and the question “Which countries [sic.] flag is this”, adding “Israel.”

On November 28, 2015, Rafati tweeted: “I wouldn't even be surprised if Google and YouTube did was Israel wants. That terrorist country controls everything.”

On November 16, 2015, Rafati tweeted: “Nah. They mean Palestine. Israel is an occupier and a parasite. Why should anyone pray for that terrorist country?”

On July 26, 2014, Rafati tweeted: “@syriasily @Israel lol, they have no culture of their own, so they steal the culture of the people they're killing .”

On July 12, 2014, Rafati tweeted: “It sucks living in America because my tax dollars go to Israel, the terrorist country that's the cancer of the Middle East.”

On July 11, 2014, Rafati tweeted: “F**k Israel. Terrorist ‘country.’”

On July 9, 2014, Rafati tweeted: “2al ‘Israel wanted equality and peace’. Tfoo [spit].”

On June 16, 2014, Rafati tweeted: “‘@palipeacock: I remember a yahood [jew] soldier knocked on our car door in Palestine while I was sleeping just to say hi. Lmao shalom sharmoot [whore].’”

MSA

The MSA was  established by members of the Muslim Brotherhood in January 1963 at the University of Illinois, Urbana-Champaign, with the goal of "spreading Islam as students in North America." A 2004 FBI investigation uncovered an internal Muslim Brotherhood document in which a brotherhood leader identified the MSA as "one of our organizations." 

The MSA reportedly has “nearly 600 chapters” located in the United States and Canada, and is “the most visible and influential Islamic student organization in North America,” boasting conferences, special events, publications, websites and other activities.

The organization includes a number of previous chapter presidents with explicit links to terrorist groups. Included are al-Qaeda cleric Anwar al-Awlaki (Colorado State University), Somali al-Shabaab militant leader Omar Shafik Hammami (University of South Alabama) and Pakistani Taliban recruiter Ramy Zamzam of the MSA's Washington, D.C. council.
