3/30/2022 - Pro-Terror WOL Rally in Manhattan, New York

On March 30, 2022, Mobarak participated [slide 7] in an anti-Israel rally “against ‘Friends of the IDF [Israel Defense Forces].’” The protest in Manhattan was organized by WOL and other anti-Israel groups, including DTP, Palestinian Youth Movement (PYM) and Samidoun. Mobarak can be seen in a photo from the protest wearing a keffiyeh.

Mobarak appeared [slide 5] in another Instagram post marching alongside other anti-Israel protesters carrying a banner with text that read: “RESISTANCE UNTIL RETURN.”

Among Palestinians and anti-Israel activists, the term “resistance” can be a euphemism for nationalistic terror. It is often used to excuse or even glorify anti-Israel and anti-Semitic violence.

“From the River to the Sea, Palestine will be Free” is a chant used [00:02:47] to call for the elimination of the State of Israel. It has also been employed by Hamas leader Khaled Mashal to call for the replacement of Israel with an Islamic state. In April 2024, the U.S. House of Representatives passed a resolution condemning the chant as antisemitic.

The protest was called to “demand a shutdown” of all Zionist organizations in New York and worldwide.

Zionism is the belief that Jews have the right to self-determination in their own national home, and the right to develop their national culture.

6/11/2021 - “Globalize the Intifada” WOL Rally

On June 11, 2021, Mobarak participated [00:00:01] in a WOL march titled: “Globalize the Intifada.” The rally was in Manhattan, New York. Mobarak can be seen [00:00:04] in the video from the protest wearing a keffiyeh and holding a Palestinian flag.

“Globalize the Intifada” is an anti-Israel campaign launched by Within Our Lifetime (WOL) in the summer of 2021, intended as an “ongoing strike at the heart of empire with Palestine as its compass.” The movement seeks to “break free from the genocidal grip of U.S. imperialism and Zionism” and advocates “liberation by any means necessary.”

The term “intifada,” which translates from Arabic as “uprising” or “insurrection,” carries the connotation of violence. Palestinian intifadas waged against Israel have been marked since 1987 by hundreds of hijackings, shootings, stabbings, bombings and suicide missions.
The rally that Mobarak participated in was part of the Strike MoMa campaign.

In April 2021, DTP launched the Strike MoMA campaign. Strike MoMA targeted individual members of the board of trustees of the Museum of Modern Art (MoMA) for various reasons, including their pro-Israel activism. Strike MoMA also conducted10 weeks of protests outside of MoMA.” The protests were held weekly from April 9 to June 11 and were billed [pp. 6-7] as “Phase 1” of the campaign.

Strike MoMA personally targeted Jewish MoMA Board of Trustees members specifically for their Israel activism or business ties to Israel, independent of any other issues. The list included cosmetics executive Ronald Lauder for being president of the World Jewish Congress (WJC) and hedge fund manager Daniel Och for being on the board of Birthright Israel, a heritage trip to Israel for Jewish young adults from across the world.

On June 11, 2021, WOL founder Nerdeen Kiswani and anti-Israel agitator Amin Husain were featured in a YouTube video from that day’s Strike MoMA march, where they both spoke outside of Rockefeller Center after protesters set an Israeli flag on fire and tore it apart.

Kiswani began [00:00:13] by saying: “You know how amazing it is, burning this Zionist flag that is responsible, that it symbolizes, the ethnic cleansing and the genocide of Palestinians?”

Kiswani then said [00:00:35]: “We burning that s**t in the heart of the belly of the beast, in the heart of New York City, in front of Rockefeller, in front of the most notorious Zionists in this country that are right here in our city.”

Kiswani continued [00:00:49]: “We marched today, we took over the streets and we visited multiple Zionist settler foundations. Multiple. We let them know we know where they’re at. We know where they work. We’re gonna find out more about where they’re at too. And we’re gonna go after them.”

As protesters burned [00:01:05] an Israeli flag, Husain said [00:01:23]: “Palestine is not only over there, it’s over here. And we’re tired of just marching at the [Israeli] embassy. We will go to where these people feel they are comfortable.”

Later the same day, protest organizers projected an image onto the MoMA building that read [slide 5]: “Long live Palestine! Fire to the colonizers!” Other projected graphics listed [00:04:00] MoMA board members. Music at the event included a song that said [00:00:18]: “F**k Israel, Israel a b**ch. B**ch, we out here mobbin’ on some Palestine s**t.”

5/15/2021 - Anti-Israel WOL Rally in Bay Ridge, Brooklyn

On May 15, 2021, Mobarak participated in an anti-Israel rally titled: “NAKBA 73: DEFEND PALESTINE FROM THE RIVER TO THE SEA,” which took place in Bay Ridge, Brooklyn. The rally was organized by WOL and other anti-Israel groups, including PYM, Samidoun and Jewish Voice for Peace (JVP). Mobarak can be seen in the photo from the protest wearing a keffiyeh.

The term “Nakba” is generally translated as “catastrophe” in Arabic, referring to the outcome of the 1948 Arab-Israeli War. It is a term often used to delegitimize the creation of the State of Israel by defining it as a catastrophe.

Mobarak posted on TikTok a video of herself from the rally.

At the protest, anti-Israel protesters held signs that said [00:06:40]: “F**k Israel. All my homies hate Israel. #FreePalestine,” and [00:06:21]: “Zionists are Nazis.”

The International Holocaust Remembrance Alliance (IHRA) highlights as one possible contemporary example of anti-Semitism: “Drawing comparisons of contemporary Israeli policy to that of the Nazis.” The U.S. State Department adopted the IHRA’s working definition of anti-Semitism in 2016. Over 40 countries have adopted the definition as well.

Anti-Israel protesters also chanted [00:07:13]: “From the river to the sea, Palestine will be free!”, and [00:27:34]: “5,6,7,8 Israel is a terrorist state!” and held signs that accused [00:09:11] Israel of “apartheid.”

Also at the protest, anti-Israel demonstrators chanted [00:25:13] in Arabic: “بروح ودم نفديك يااقصى [With spirit, with blood, we will redeem you, Aqsa]!”

The allegation that Jews “threaten” to destroy the Al-Aqsa Mosque has been a pretext for Arab attacks on Jews long before the existence of the modern Jewish state. Such propaganda has led to multiple periods of violence against Israeli civilians.

The chant: “be-ruh be-dam nifdik ya Aqsaبروح ودم نفديك يااقصى [With spirit, with blood, we will redeem you, Aqsa]” can be heard [00:01:14] at anti-Israel rallies [00:02:19] in America. Yasser Arafat popularized the chant [00:00:23], which is invoked by anti-Israel protesters regarding a variety of causes.

At the same rally, anti-Israel demonstrators also chanted [00:06:52] “Israel is a crime!”

The rally was held during an Israeli operation against terror groups in Gaza.

In May 2021, Hamas and Palestinian Islamic Jihad (PIJ) terrorists fired over 4,300 rockets from Gaza at major population centers in Israel. Israel responded by launching “Operation Guardian of the Walls (OGW),” carrying out targeted military strikes in Gaza.
