QuyenBallagh [Bini Ballagh] was arrested and charged with battery after invading a synagogue as part of an anti-Israel protest in December 2025. The protest was in support of the Boycott, Divestment, Sanctions (BDS) movement.
The profilee's activism occurred during an extended period of global antisemitism that began with the October 7, 2023, terror attacks, when Hamas murdered nearly 1,200 Israelis, injured thousands and kidnapped hundreds. Israel immediately launched a war against Hamas in Gaza.
As of October 2025, Ballagh was listed as studying for a master's degree in social welfare and Asian American studies at the University of California, Los Angeles (UCLA).

On December 3, 2025, Ballagh was arrested, alongside anti-Israel agitator Ray Corpus, after invading [00:01:42] the Wilshire Boulevard Temple, which houses a synagogue and a Jewish school, located in Los Angeles, California.
Ballagh invaded the synagogue as part of an anti-Israel protest. Ballagh was later reportedly charged with battery.
During the protest, anti-Israel activists gathered [00:00:01] outside the synagogue and threatened violence. They reportedly chanted: "Baby Killers" and "Zionist Pigs."
Zionism is the belief that Jews have the right to self-determination in their own national home, and the right to develop their national culture. Zionism is a core part of the identity of most Jews.
One of the protesters reportedly [00:01:15] shattered a glass vase inside the synagogue and then told [00:01:20] one of the synagogue attendees: "Genocidal terrorist, f**k you! S**k my d**k!"
The term “genocide” was coined in 1942 and first used at the Nuremberg Trials of Nazi war criminals. Since Israel's founding in 1948, anti-Israel activists have accused Israel of "genocide" in an attempt to compare Jews to Nazis and delegitimize the creation of a Jewish state in the Land of Israel.
As of October 2025, Ballagh's since-deleted bio on UCLA Asian American Studies Department website referred to America as a "settler state" and as a "settler colonial state."
The Boycott, Divestment, Sanctions (BDS) movement was founded by pro-terror activist Omar Barghouti in 2005 to turn “Israel into a pariah state, as South Africa once was.” Barghouti has also called for Israel's destruction and the BDS movement demands would result in that same goal.
BDS initiatives include calling on institutions and individuals to divest from Israeli-affiliated companies, promoting academic and cultural boycotts of Israel, and organizing anti-Israel rallies, protests and campaigns.
The movement’s most notable achievement has been infiltrating university campuses through lobbying for “BDS resolutions.” In these cases, student governments propose resolutions to boycott or divestment from Israel or Israeli-affiliated entities. BDS activity is often aggressive and disruptive. It has been noted that universities that pass BDS resolutions see a marked increase in anti-Semitic incidents and pro-terror activism on campus.
