Nia Sampson reportedly signed an anti-Israel statement in support of the Boycott, Divestment, Sanctions (BDS) movement.

The profilee's activism occurred during Israel’s war against Hamas, which Israel launched after the October 7, 2023, terror attacks when Hamas murdered nearly 1,200 Israelis, injured thousands and kidnapped hundreds.

The January 15, 2024 statement Nia Sampson signed accused Israel of an “ongoing genocide of Palestinians in Gaza” as well as “apartheid [and] ethnic cleansing,” during its war against Hamas.

Signatories were affiliated with the State University of New York (SUNY), and the statement sought to develop “a SUNY-wide Boycott, Divestment, Sanctions (BDS) Movement…at all 64 SUNY campuses.”

As of May 2026, Nia Sampson's LinkedIn said she graduated from Stony Brook University (SBU) with a bachelor's degree in political science and government and sociology in May 2024. SBU is part of the SUNY system and is located in Stony Brook, New York.

Also as of May 2026, Nia Sampson's LinkedIn said she had been a clerical assistant at Nassau County Family Court, part of the New York State Unified Court System, since September 2025.
