On October 9, 2023, two days after Hamas terrorists attacked Israel, Walton posted on X, referring to Palestinians from the Gaza Strip: "You enclose a group of people, disallow free movement, force them into destruction and destitution and then wonder why insurgent groups form in the name of liberation."

Also on October 9, 2023, Walton posted on X: "Terror didn’t just happen. It’s been happening in Gaza for decades. Neither is right. Context is important."

On October 7, 2023, Hamas murdered approximately 1,200 Israelis, kidnapped 251 and wounded thousands. War crimes included various systematic sexual crimes like gang rape and genital mutilation. Men and women were violated, even after being murdered. Victims who survived that day, including hostages, endured forms of humiliation and torture.

Gazans working in the targeted Israeli villages provided intelligence to Hamas on which families to kill and torture, including long-time employers. Many Palestinian civilians joined in and celebrated the attacks. Hamas livestreamed their crimes on social media, including to victims’ accounts for families to see. On April 9 2026, Walton posted on X: "Genocide is bad. AIPAC is interfering in our elections to use our tax dollars to fund it. I said what I said. #FREEPALESTİNE."

The stated mission of the American Israel Public Affairs Committee (AIPAC) is to “strengthen, protect and promote the U.S.-Israel relationship in ways that enhance the security of the United States and Israel.”

The implication that AIPAC buys political support for Israel has been described as playing into “anti-Semitic tropes” that led to “centuries of stereotypes about Jews using money to control the world.”

“Free Palestine!” is a chant used to call for Israel's destruction, acting as a shorter version of "From the River to the Sea, Palestine will be free!" It was shouted during multiple deadly attacks on pro-Israel activists in 2025 in America. It has been used to vandalize synagogues and other Jewish-owned property, and is described as a "battle cry for the death of Jews.”

On October 9, 2023, Walton posted on X: "In case further context is needed…The US should stop funding perpetual war. Palestine deserves liberation. [Israeli] Apartheid is unjust and immoral..."

On October 9, 2023, Walton posted on X: "So now, you can justify the continued genocide of a people due to the conditions YOU caused. Again, I’m no expert in foreign affairs but seems on brand for ‘Merica. How about we stop war mongering and allow freedom for independent states..."
