Mariam Ghanem

Overview

Mariam Ghanem has spread hatred of Jews, equated Israel with Nazi Germany and promoted hatred of Israel as well as anti-Israel propaganda on Twitter.

As of January 2021, Ghanem’s LinkedIn page said she was a Receptionist at P&H Casters, a commercial and industrial equipment supplier in Arlington, Texas, from “Jun 2019 - Present,” and graduated from Tarrant County College (TCC) in 2020, where she studied Accounting/Business Management.

In February 2014, Ghanem indicated on Twitter that she was a student at TCC and intended to move to “UTA [UT Arlington] next fall.” 

Ghanem also promoted anti-Semitism on Twitter during her high school years.

Hatred of Jews

On August 26, 2014, Ghanem tweeted: “Palestine ibladna w ilyahooden iklabna [Palestine is our land and the Jews are our dogs].”

On August 4, 2014, Ghanem tweeted a poster on Twitter that suggested deporting Israeli Jews to the United States as a solution for all conflicts in the Middle East. The text in the poster read “Solution for the Israel-Palestine conflict - Relocate Israel into the United States.” 

Ghanem commented: “Literally the smartest thing ever. I'd move to Pali if this ever happened tbh.”

The same tweet was once shared by the British Labour party politician Naz Shah, who was then suspended from the party for doing so. 

Equating Israel with Nazi Germany

On August 10, 2014, Ghanem tweeted: “@Israel the man who tortured, killed, and humiliated your people looks exactly like the man torturing, killing, and humiliating my people.” 

Ghanem followed up with another tweet portraying Hitler as morphing into Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu. The caption read: “INSANITY, Letting the same thing happen over and over again and expecting different outcomes.”

On July 7, 2014, Ghanem tweeted: “As ironic as it sounds, Israeli Zionists treat Palestinians (regardless of religion) the same way the Nazis treated Jews in Germany #PT.”

On July 2, 2014, Ghanem tweeted a cartoon of a Nazi soldier next to a Jewish child in a concentration camp and an Israeli soldier standing next to a Palestinian child with the caption “Same s**t different people.” Ghanem commented: “@hanansalemxo: Just let this sink in. #FreePalestine”

Hatred of Israel

On June 23, 2016, Ghanem tweeted: “I think it's so funny when Israelis try and justify the existence of ‘Israel’. FYI, it doesn't exist. .”

On July 3, 2015, Ghanem tweeted: “All thanks to those damned Israeli Zionist.”

Ghanem’s tweet was responding to another tweet that read: ”Jerusalem is one of the oldest cities in the world— it has been destroyed twice, besieged 23 times, and attacked 52 times.” 

On July 31, 2014, Ghanem tweeted: “@piersmorgan @benshapiro What does Israel wiping out an entire population have to do with antisemitism? Being against genocide isn't.”

On July 31, 2014, Ghanem also tweeted: “@bduffxo Israel and you have something in common, you're both evil. I'm done talking to your mentally retarded self. .”

On July 23, 2014, Ghanem tweeted a cartoon depicting an Israeli soldier holding a Palestinian baby upside down by one leg, while aiming a gun at him. 

On June 31, 2014, Ghanem tweeted: “Israel is the terrorist in this war, and America is supporting it.”

Anti-Israel Propaganda

On July 12, 2014, Ghanem tweeted photos of ultra-orthodox Jews in New York, who protested against the military draft of religious students in Israel, and purported the protest was against Operation Protective Edge (OPE) in Gaza.
