Lizzy George-Griffin praised Hamas terrorist war crimes and spread antisemitism on a college campus in October 2023.
The incident occurred following a series of Hamas terror attacks and war crimes against Israeli civilians, including mass murder, torture, rape, beheadings and kidnappings, which were executed on October 7, 2023.
The Hamas terror attacks left over 1,200 Israelis dead, hundreds kidnapped and thousands wounded. Israel retaliated with a war called “Swords of Iron,” which was going on when George-Griffin made the antisemitic and anti-Israel remarks.
Hamas has been designated as a terrorist organization by the U.S., Canada, European Union, Israel and other countries. Founded in 1987, it has killed thousands of Israeli civilians through mass shootings and suicide bombings. Hamas has also kidnapped children, families and the elderly and held them hostage in Gaza. It has desecrated [slide 7] dead bodies and launched numerous rocket attacks against Israeli civilians.
As of December 14, 2023, George-Griffin’s Instagram bio said George-Griffin was a model and filmmaker.
As of December 7, 2023, George-Griffin was listed online as a student in the Film Department at Columbia University (Columbia), which is located in New York, New York.
In October 2023, George-Griffin was listed online as president and founder of LionLez, a Columbia student club. However, as of December 6, 2023, in the wake of the October 21, 2023 email, George-Griffin was reportedly “no longer [its] president.”
LionLez describes itself as a “Radical POC [people of color]-Run Club for Queer Women and Nonbinary People.”
