Mequan Cooper

Overview

Mequan Cooper has spread anti-Semitism and anti-Jewish conspiracy theories on Facebook. He has also praised Hitler and the Holocaust online.

Cooper has self-identified as “a woke Hebrew Israelite,” in reference to the Black Hebrew Israelites, an African American group whose members claim to be the true descendants of the ancient biblical Hebrews.  

As of July 2020, Cooper went by the name Qman Kooper on Facebook and wrote that he lived in Chicago, Illinois.

Anti-Semitism

On July 19, 2020, Cooper shared a graphic on Facebook that featured a photo of an Orthodox Jew, with a caption that read: “Synagogue of Satan.” 

The graphic Cooper shared also included text which read, in part: “and I know the
👉🏾blasphemy of them which say
👉🏾they are Jews, and
👉🏾are not, but are
👉🏾the synagogue of Satan.”

The text went on to say: “Those living today that profess to be Jews are not of the ancient Israelites. They are not the Seed of Abraham. The nation of Israel today is populated by 7 and 1/2 million imposters❗
They are not Jews...”

On the same day, Cooper shared to Facebook a meme that suggested Jews in Hollywood use money to bribe and force Black people into recanting the claim that they “Are The Israelites.”

On July 18, 2020, Cooper shared a graphic on Facebook that portrayed a black person as a “Jew Judean Hebrew Israelite” and a Jewish person with light skin as a “Jew-ish Khazar.” 

The original poster of the graphic wrote: “BLACKS ARE THE REAL JEWS, NOT THOSE PALE BASTARDS!! TAKE YOUR HERITAGE BACK BLACK MAN #TheRealJewsAreBlack.”


On July 15, 2020, Cooper shared a post that featured two graphics on Facebook that suggested that Jewish people descend from the ancient kingdom of Khazaria. 

The original poster of the graphics wrote: “NICK DIDN'T LIE!🤷🏿‍♂️ White Jew-ish people come from Khazaria NOT ISRAEL... THESE ARE #FACTS!” 

The comments referred to Nick‌ ‌Cannon‌‌, who was fired by ViacomCBS in July 2020 after he made anti-Semitic comments on his podcast, for which he later apologized. Cannon reportedly promoted various anti-Semitic conspiracy theories, including the claim that Jewish people control the media. 

Cannon also reportedly suggested that Jewish people were not real Jews and that African Americans were “the true Hebrews."

On July 15, 2020, Cooper also wrote on Facebook: “These fake Jews mad [sic] the real Jews waking up ain’t no more false flagging.”

On June 6, 2020, Cooper wrote on Facebook: “Then Jewsish [sic] people in Israel now are not the real Jews of that was the case the world would be restored by the most high right now the Jews are not in the land they in captivity serving they enemies.”

A Facebook user replied: “They probably would be if Hitler didn’t exist 😂.”

Cooper responded: “hitler wasn’t killing Jews he was killing Europeans feel me brother.”

On September 22, 2019, Cooper shared a meme on Facebook that depicted a Black Hebrew Israelite as the biblical figure, David, using a slingshot against a Jewish Goliath.

On February 13, 2018, Cooper shared a meme on Facebook that featured photos of African Americans dressed as biblical characters with a caption that read: “If The Real Jews Look Like This! Then Who Are These People???” in reference to pictures of Orthodox Jews.

On October 26, 2017, Cooper wrote on Facebook: “Big difference between Israelis and Israelites ....... The Israelis state is a Jewish converted country and claiming a inhertiance [sic] as a religion........ Now a Israelite is actually a race of people it's called DNA the bibical [sic] Jews that was sent away in ships like deutromony [sic] 28 says we claiming our inhertiance [sic] back ..... taking back our title and your askenazi people need to come to reailty [sic] , and stop the lies Jews always will be black always will.” 

On May 3, 2017, Cooper shared a graphic on Facebook that featured a photo of Orthodox Jews next to a photo of black children, with a caption that read: “THE GREATEST CASE OF IDENTITY THEFT EVER. Stealing the identity of a Nation.” 

On March 8, 2017, Cooper wrote on Facebook: “You Caucasians come from the caucus mountains in Europe how you think Caucasian the word came about,comes from y'all are no where close to being from Israel FAKE JEWS look this up yourself.”

On February 16, 2017, Cooper shared a graphic on Facebook that portrayed Ashkenazi Jews as “Edomite-Amalekites - JewISH Converts -Ashkenazi - Khazars” and the Synagogue of Satan.

Text heading thegraphic read: “The So-called Jewish people of today are biblically known as the nation of the Amalekites, who are the Descendants of Amalek the 1st Grandson Of Esau, which makes them the head tribe of the Edomites.” The graphic also identified “Caucasians - Europeans - Russians - Germans” and “So- called White People” as Edomite-Idumeans.” 

Edom refers to the Biblical Edomites, who were the descendants of and representatives of the biblical figure Esau in the book of Genesis.

In the Biblical book of Exodus, Amalek is a recurrent enemy of the Jews.

Anti-Jewish Conspiracy Theories

On July 16, 2020, Cooper shared a post on Facebook that featured a video of someone who claimed [00:00:05] that Hitler’s “reasoning behind killing the fake Jews was because they were fake.” 

Another graphic included in the same post propagated a claim that Hitler said African Americans were the real Jews, a hoax which was exposed by the fact-checking website, Snopes.com.

A 2015 version of the hoax, published on the website FMLGoneViral.com, claimed that Hitler once said: “America has stolen the jews. The Jews of God. His jewelry. The negros. They are the true hebrews...”

On June 7, 2020, Cooper wrote on Facebook: “Hitler with the movement.” The post linked to a Facebook post promoting the hoax alleging that Hitler knew African Americans were the real Jews

On January 7, 2020, Cooper wrote on Facebook: “Azkenazi , Romans , fake Jews, cavemen all the same to me.” 

Cooper's post featured a graphic with text reading: “Doesn’t it give you a warm fuzzy feeling knowing ‘gods chosen people’ the FAKE JEWS are in control of the United States instead of its citizens?” 

The graphic featured photos of Orthodox Jews with United States Presidents Ronald Reagan, George Bush Sr., George Bush Jr, Barack Obama, Donald Trump and Bill Clinton.

Prasing Hitler and the Holocaust

On December 21, 2019, Cooper wrote on Facebook: “Aye Hitler was a lower case g man he was a wise man and now here we are 2019 ww3 here man man man.”

On October 14, 2017, Cooper wrote on Facebook: “Hitler did us black Jews a real favor on the real.”

Another Facebook user replied: “Murdered Identity thieves real.”

Cooper responded: “KAN [Yes].”

On November 24, 2016, Cooper shared a Facebook status from Rashon Freeman that read: “Next year ima celebrate and have a feast for 9/11 and the slaughter of 6 million white people in Germany.
