Kevin Dion
Kevin Dion was reportedly arrested at a sit-in during the anti-Israel encampment at Illinois State University (ISU) in May 2024. Dion has also expressed support for Hamas terrorists online.
The Students for Justice in Palestine (SJP) chapter at ISU (SJP-ISU) said on Instagram that it organized the encampment, which was in support of the Boycott, Divestment, Sanctions (BDS) movement.
On May 3, 2024, WGLT.org reported that seven individuals, including Kevin Dion, were arrested and charged with trespassing, and later “suspended and restricted from participating in university activities.”
Kevin Dion and the other activist had gathered outside the office of ISU’s president during the ISU encampment and refused to leave despite being given “multiple warnings about the ‘consequences for remaining’ past closing time.”
The encampment was part of a national movement on college campuses in 2024, during Israel’s war against Hamas. The encampments were also in support of the Boycott, Divestment, Sanctions (BDS) movement.
As of December 2025, Kevin Dion's LinkedIn profile said Dion was pursuing a bachelor's degree at ISU in environmental science, slated to graduate in 2026. Dion's LinkedIn also said Dion was located in Normal, Illinois.
