Josh Androsky participated in Democratic Socialists of America (DSA) activism in 2025 in Los Angeles, California, organized by the city’s DSA chapter (DSA-LA).

DSA's anti-capitalist ideology features anti-American, anti-police and abolitionist elements. DSA also called for Israel's destruction and justified terrorism two days after Hamas murdered 1,200 Israelis on October 7, 2023.

DSA-LA, like national DSA, has spread hatred of America and the police. It has celebrated communism, called to destroy capitalism and defended America’s enemies. Regarding Israel, DSA-LA has expressed support for violence and called for Israel’s destruction, including on October 8, 2023.

As of August 2026, Josh Androsky's LinkedIn said he had been the director of communications for the 2020 election of DSA member and Los Angeles City Council, District 4 representative Nithya Raman, who was reelected in 2024. As of August 2026, she was a candidate for mayor of Los Angeles.

Also as of August 2026, Josh Androsky’s LinkedIn said he had been the 2022 election campaign manager for Hugo Soto-Martinez, who is endorsed by DSA-LA for the Los Angeles City Council, District 13, and who has been a member of DSA-LA since early 2019, has been a chapter leader, and has been a delegate to the 2021 and 2023 DSA National Conventions.

DSA-LA activists held a banner that said: "STOP U.S. MILITARY AID! NO ISRAELI APARTHEID & OCCUPATION! SOLIDARITY WITH PALESTINE!"

The event was in support of the Boycott, Divestment, Sanctions (BDS) movement. The outcome of the movement's goals would result in Israel's destruction. Within hours of the October 7, 2023, terror attacks, the BDS movement renewed its call for an anti-Israel boycott.

Anti-Israel activists spread antisemitism by denying Jewish history and religious rights to the Land of Israel in order to portray Jews as foreigners. They do this to delegitimize restored Jewish sovereignty and terms they use include accusing Israel of "colonialism," "occupation," and "imperialism."
