Overview
Joseph Ross has praised Hitler, the Nazis and Hamas terrorists. Ross is also a gun enthusiast who has promoted Holocaust denial and white supremacy, as well as spread anti-Semitism, anti-Semitic conspiracy theories and hatred of Israel.Tweets that Ross wrote in January 2023 and December 2022 indicated that he worked from home. In December 2022, Ross indicated on Twitter that he had previously worked at a Marathon Petroleum Corporation oil refinery.
In 2012 and 2013, Ross indicated in his tweets that he studied at “Scioto,” a reference to Scioto County Career Technical Center (SCCTC).
As of April 2024, Ross went by the username “Joe” and used the handle “@patriotmiddle” on Twitter. As of the same date, Ross indicated on Twitter that he lived in Columbus, Ohio.
His tweet was responding to a tweet that had an image of Adolf Hitler with a group of Nazi soldiers that said: “They told you that we were monsters. We were the last warriors who fought the satanic jewish banking cartel that rules you today.”
On November 16, 2023, Ross tweeted: “Umm dad, I’m not going to do that because if I do I’ll get charged with a hate crime and spend 15 years in prison. No other group has the power to do that, but since Jews run this society they do. This is exactly the sort of nonsense that Hitler was talking about.”
His tweet was in response to a tweet that said: “To the cowards hiding behind the anonymity of the internet and posting ‘Hitler was right’ / You got something you want to say? Why dont you say it to our faces…”
On November 10, 2023, Ross tweeted: “My grandfather was in the Hitler youth. / My great-grandfather served on the Eastern front during WW2. / My great-great grandfather was a police officer in Bremen under the NSDAP...”
NSDAP was the acronym used for the Nazi Party, which was officially known in German as the “Nationalsozialistische Deutsche Arbeiterpartei,” or NSDAP for short. In English, the party’s full name meant “National Socialist German Workers’ Party.”
On December 18, 2017, Ross tweeted: “The US fought for the wrong side in world war 2. We should have stayed out. Europe would have been a lot better if Hitler won. The Eastern half suffered under communism for 50 years and now the Western half is being overrun by muslims.”
On April 5, 2013, Ross tweeted: “#ActivitiesInTheGhetto.” The tweet featured a photo of Jews being walked through the street by Nazi soldiers after the Warsaw Ghetto Uprising.

On April 8, 2018, Ross tweeted: “I dug up this. If you don't have an endowment level lifetime membership to the NRA, you're basically a jew.”
The tweet featured a photo of Ross holding up his “PATRIOT LIFE MEMBER ENDOWMENT LEVEL” certificate from the National Rifle Association (NRA).
Also in April 2018, Ross said in his Twitter bio that he was a “Lifetime member of the National Rifle Association. White Advocate.”
On January 15, 2016, Ross tweeted: “New glock .45.” The tweet featured a photo of Ross holding the handgun.
On November 12, 2017, Ross tweeted: “With the only guy who has caused more liberal tears than Trump @TheMadDimension.” The tweet featured a photo of Ross with Jason Kessler, an organizer of the Unite the Right Rally.
On January 3, 2018, Ross tweeted a photo of himself with white nationalists leaders, including Richard Spencer, who had headlined the Unite The Right rally.
On February 16, 2018, Ross tweeted: “...Gotta get in shape for the Charlottesville rally coming up in 6 months.”
On December 3, 2022, Ross tweeted: “Reminder. Pfizer's Jewish CEO made over $20 million. / If the vaccine cost him $20 million, he wouldn't be promoting it. / It's not about science. It's about the money. Always has been. Always will be.”
On November 5, 2022, Ross tweeted: “It would be really based if Kanye West would stage a ‘Jews not will enslave us’ rally for all races to attend at UVA.” His tweet was in reference to chants of “Jews will not replace us!” heard at the Unite the Right march at the University of Virginia (UVA) in 2017.
In the fall of 2022, American rapper Ye, formerly known as Kanye West, sparked controversy after tweeting that he would go “death con 3 on JEWISH PEOPLE.” Ye also promoted [00:01:02, 00:04:37] anti-Semitic conspiracy theories and argued he was not anti-Semitic because “black people are actually Jew also.” In the wake of his remarks, Ye lost brand deals with companies such as Adidas, Gap and Foot Locker.
On September 17, 2022, Ross tweeted: “Dude goes to the most Jewish high school in the US and blames this on DeSantis.”
His tweet referred to a tweet by gun control activist David Hogg that said: “... in all of high school I probably received less than 50 pages of printed material because the school district ‘didn’t have enough money…’”
On April 13, 2018, Ross tweeted: “This is why you can't ever trust a jew. You bring them along to protest gun control, and they subvert you by telling you that you need to bomb Syria.…”
On April 12, 2018, Ross tweeted: “Instead of another #HolocaustRemembranceDay how about we have a day to remember the people who died at the hands of jewish communists in the USSR? Or the Christian Armenians killed by Turks? Or the White South Africans currently being genocided by blacks?”
On February 21, 2018, Ross tweeted: “Right now around 2.14% of the population is jewish. There are 11 states with higher percentages than the national average. 7 of those states are in the 11 worst states for gun owners. The 4 most jewish states (DC, NY, NJ, and MA) are are the 4 worst states. Coincidence?”
