Hazem Ateyyat

Overview

Hazem Ateyyat has joked about killing Jews on Twitter, called for another Holocaust and for annihilating Israel, “starting with their children.” Ateyyat has endorsed Hitler, praised Hamas, spread anti-Jewish hatred and made homophobic remarks.

Ateyyat was a student at Napa Valley College (NVC) in California, and Solano Community College (SCC), Fairfield County, California. 

In 2016, Ateyyat indicated on Twitter that he worked at Alcosta Smoke shop located next door to New Moon Restaurant on Alcosta Boulevard, San Ramon, California. In 2018, Ateyyat indicated on Twitter that he still worked in a smoke shop.  

Joking About Killing Jews and Israel Supporters

On July 17, 2014, Ateyyat tweeted: "@BrincessSamiha @JasonJiants @BasedGJ I'm gonna go and kill a Jew as we speak. Yup."

On July 17, 2014, Ateyyat tweeted: "@BrincessSamiha @JasonJiants @BasedGJ naw lemme give him what he wants. yes burn all the Jews."

Calling for another Holocaust

On June 25, 2014, Ateyyat tweeted: "start another holocaust 卐."

On the same day, Ateyyat tweeted: "Israel needs to be annihilated, starting with their children."

On August 7, 2014, Ateyyat tweeted: "Israel is a cancer to the Middle East. they need to be removed. starting with their children till they reach the elderly. #fightme."

On February 25, 2014, Ateyyat tweeted: "I think we stopped Hitler's work alittle too early. He shoulda got rid of a few more million."

On July 11, 2014, in response to a tweet that read: "There needs to be a holocaust for Israel. I don't even think of them as people. I have so much anger towards the Jews it's not even funny." Ateyyat tweeted: “@moodles911 @tameljoe_ holocaust ended too early.”

On July 6, 2014, in response to a tweet by Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu sending condolences to the families of three Israeli high-schoolers — who were kidnapped from a bus stop and murdered by Hamas operatives — Ateyyat tweeted: "@netanyahu you're a pathetic bitch, f**k you and Anne Frank you worthless Jew. Hilter should have gassed your grandparents and their family."

Equating Gaza with the Holocaust

On July 17, 2014, during Israel’s Operation Protective Edge (OPE),Ateyyat tweeted: "so a holocaust is happening at the moment…"

Israel commenced Operation Protective Edge (OPE) in July 2014, to stop rocket fire targeting Israeli civilians and to destroy Hamas attack tunnels.
