Fatima Krami

Overview

Fatima Krami pushed a police barrier, shouted at a police officer and harassed a journalist, while participating in a May 18, 2021 anti-Israel rally. She also defied police orders for protesters to disperse and fled when police issued arrest orders as she participated in another anti-Israel protest two days later.

Krami spread hatred of Israelis, called for Israel’s destruction and promoted incitement as she participated in an August 16, 2021 anti-Israel rally in Manhattan. She also expressed support for terrorists and demonized Israel as she participated in another anti-Israel rally on September 17, 2021.

Krami has glorified terrorists and spread hatred of Zionists and Israel online.

In 2021, Krami was a member of Within Our Lifetime (WOL), an anti-Israel activist group in New York City founded by Nerdeen Kiswani. Until February 2018, WOL was known as a branch of Students for Justice in Palestine (SJP), going by NYC SJP

In 2022, Krami engaged in activism with the anti-Israel organization Al-Awda, including participating in its national conference that same year.

In 2021, Krami was affiliated [00:19:03] with the Red Lions, an anti-Israel group led by violent, convicted felon Saadah Masoud.

As of February 2023, Krami’s LinkedIn said she had been working since July 2021 as a General Manager at Imports from Marrakesh, with multiple locations in New York City.

Krami’s LinkedIn also said she was slated to graduate from Queens College, part of City University of New York (CUNY), with a bachelor’s degree in Psychology in August 2024. She also graduated from LaGuardia Community College with an associate’s degree in Communication and Media Studies in 2021.

Krami’s LinkedIn said she volunteered as a Fundraising Assistant for the anti-Israel organization The Palestine Children’s Relief Fund (PCRF) from July to September 2021.

As of February 2023, Krami’s Facebook said she was located in Queens, New York. Her Facebook also said she was “From Moulay Idris, Meknès, Morocco.”

May 18, 2021 - Pushing a Police Barrier at a WOL Rally

Krami pushed [00:01:33] a police barrier, repeatedly shouted [00:01:43] at a police officer and harassed [00:09:03] a journalist as she participated in a May 18, 2021 WOL rally. Krami appeared [00:01:33] in YouTube video footage in the center of the screen wrapped in a Moroccan flag.

The protest was titled: “Emergency Rally to Defend Palestine” and was held at the Israeli consulate in Manhattan.

The protest was initially confined to a sidewalk across the street from the consulate. Protesters, however, forcibly pushed barricades that police had set up.

Krami pushed [00:01:33] a police barrier and shouted [00:01:43] at police officers on the other side of the barrier who were maintaining the barrier’s integrity.

The crowd later broke through these barriers and began marching through the streets of Manhattan. Some later climbed [00:04:18] on top of a tourist bus, jumping and waving and setting off smoke canisters.

Multiple protesters were later arrested after blocking the roadway outside of the United Nations building. At this time, anti-Israel agitators led by Saadah Masoud began bullying a Fox News journalist, saying he was not welcome at the protest and jostling [00:09:00] his camera.

Krami then joined the crowd and covered [00:09:03] the journalist’s camera with her right arm, preventing him from working and causing him to retreat even more from his initial working position.

May 20, 2021 - Violent Times Square Counterprotest

Krami defied [00:11:13] police orders for protesters to disperse and later ran [00:11:38] when police issued arrest orders as she participated in a violent counterprotest against a pro-Israel rally in Times Square.

Krami appeared [00:11:13] in video footage on the left side of the screen, wearing a black t-shirt and dark green flag scarf facing off against the police, with her left fist raised.

During the rally, anti-Israel activists pushed against a police barrier erected to separate them from the pro-Israel side. The anti-Israel side breached the barrier and marched toward the pro-Israel side, where they verbally assaulted the pro-Israel activists. Separate videos showed some anti-Israel activists also stealing Israeli flags from pro-Israel activists.

The anti-Israel activists then moved back to their side of the barricade, where some of them chanted at the Israel supporters: “Nazis! Nazis!”

After demonstrators threw projectiles, police removed the barricade and proceeded to arrest several anti-Israel activists. Police declared the assembly to be “unlawful” and demanded that the crowd disperse or be arrested.

At this time, as police officers moved forward issuing these demands, Krami started [00:11:24] to retreat, still facing the police with her left first raised. After protesters pushed the barricades erected by the police, officers issued orders to arrest the activists. Krami then fled [00:11:38] the scene.

While police used bicycles to disperse the rioters and pursue a number of them, some anti-Israel activists overturned police barricades to obstruct the street. Others threw garbage bags filled with trash onto the street, while others dragged traffic barriers onto the street and overturned fencing.

Also on May 20, 2021, anti-Israel activists from the counterprotest violently attacked and reportedly yelled anti-Semitic slurs at Joseph Borgen, a Jewish man who was heading to the pro-Israel rally in Times Square. Borgen was attacked with a crutch, stomped by several counterprotesters and pepper-sprayed.

Police arrested two of the anti-Israel activists and charged them with assault as a hate crime, menacing as a hate crime, and aggravated harassment as a hate crime. That same day, other anti-Israel activists also shot fireworks from a car at passersby in Manhattan's heavily-Jewish Diamond District, burning a woman.

On May 21, 2021, WOL posted two Instagram posts that offered legal support and advice to anyone arrested.

August 16, 2021 - Hatred of Israelis in a WOL Rally

Krami chanted [00:00:18] anti-Israel slogans that promoted incitement, hatred [00:00:39] of Israelis and [00:08:24] called for Israel’s destruction as she participated in an August 16, 2021 WOL rally.

Krami appeared [00:00:34] in a YouTube video from the rally on the right side of the screen wearing blue jeans, a blue camisole top with a black and white keffiyeh-patterned headscarf wrapped around her head. She also wore [slides 1 and 7] a sticker on her left arm.

The WOL rally was titled: “GLOBALIZE THE INTIFADA. Rise against the Normalization. Defend Palestine.” The rally was held at the Israeli consulate in Manhattan and a march through the streets occurred immediately afterwards.

Krami chanted [00:00:02]: “Free, Free Palestine!” and [00:00:18]: “Intifada, Intifada! Globalize the Intifada!”

The term “intifada,” which translates from Arabic as “uprising” or “insurrection,” carries the connotation of violence. Palestinian intifadas waged against Israel have been marked since 1987 by hundreds of hijackings, shootings, stabbings, bombings and suicide missions.

Krami continued and chanted [00:00:39]: “Settlers, settlers, go back home! Sheikh Jarrah is ours alone!” and [00:01:08]: “Settlers, settlers, go back home! Palestine is ours alone!”

In May 2021, calls to “save” Sheikh Jarrah, a Jerusalem neighborhood at the center of a property dispute, led to violence against Israelis and were one of the leading factors in Hamas and Palestinian Islamic Jihad terrorists firing over 4,300 rockets from Gaza into Israel that month.

Krami then chanted [00:07:21]: “ من المية للمية فلسطين عربية [From Water to Water! Palestine is Arab],” the Arabic version of “From the River to the Sea, Palestine Will Be Free!”

“From the River to the Sea, Palestine will be Free” is a chant used [00:02:47] to call for the elimination of the State of Israel. It has also been employed by Hamas leader Khaled Mashal to call for the replacement of Israel with an Islamic state. In April 2024, the U.S. House of Representatives passed a resolution condemning the chant as antisemitic.

Krami later chanted [00:08:24] “We don’t want no two states! We want all of it!” Krami then held [00:09:50] a black banner that said: “Globalize the Intifada” while standing at the front of the march.

Krami later chanted [00:12:37] while marching: “Resistance is justified, when people are colonized!” and [00:13:14]: “If we don’t get no justice, then they don’t get no peace,”

Anti-Israel activists use the term “resistance” to refer to violence and terror perpetrated against Israeli civilians and their allies. It is used to glorify and encourage anti-Israel and anti-Semitic violence. Anti-Israel activists chant slogans such as: “Resistance by any means necessary!” and “Resistance is justified when people are occupied!” in response to terror attacks.

Krami then chanted [00:14:34]: “Whose streets? Our streets! Whose land? Our land!” and [00:18:08]: “It is right to rebel, Israel go to hell!”

September 17, 2021 - WOL Anti-Israel Rally

Krami expressed [00:19:21] support for terrorists, demonized [00:01:36] Israel and promoted [00:07:11] incitement as she participated in a September 17, 2021 WOL rally

Krami appeared [00:19:21] at the rally waving a Palestinian flag and wearing a Palestinian flag scarf tied as a headband. Krami wore a black t-shirt, like other WOL leaders, that said: “Globalize the Intifada” with the “i” in “Intifada” being represented by the map of Israel.

The rally was held in Manhattan and called people to: “Globalize the Intifada. Free all Palestinian prisoners… Defund the settler organizations, Honor The Martyrs…”

Before protesters marched, they gathered in a square formation and Krami stood [00:19:21] behind a banner that said: “Prisoners Revolt from Attica to Gilboa…” alluding to the Palestinian terrorists who had escaped a maximum-security prison in Israel that same month. Krami also held a sign that had the same words.

On September 6, 2021, six Palestinian prisoners escaped from the maximum-security Gilboa Prison in Israel. The escaped prisoners were convicted members of the terror organizations Palestinian Islamic Jihad (PIJ) and the Al-Aqsa Martyrs Brigade, who were jailed for their involvement in attacks carried out during the second intifada. All were recaptured by September 19, 2021, by Israeli authorities.

Krami also chanted [00:07:24] in support of “global intifada” after anti-Israel protesters marched [slide 2] to and occupied the Herald Square subway station at 34th Street in Manhattan. The protesters banged on drums and repeated: “Everywhere we go, people wanna know who we are, so we tell them. We are Intifada! A Global Intifada! Fighting for justice, Palestinian liberation, and Black Liberation. Indigenous Liberation…”

Krami appeared in a YouTube video taken in the subway station [00:07:17] on the right side of the screen with a black mask covering her mouth. Krami then chanted [00:08:45]: “What do we want? Justice! When do we want it? Now! If we don’t get it, shut it down!”

After demonstrators exited [00:17:07] the subway at West 4th street and marched [00:21:40] down Washington Street, Krami chanted [00:19:28], at the front of the marching column: “Whose streets? Our streets! Whose land? Our land!” and [00:20:01]: “No justice, no peace! If we don’t get no justice, then they don’t get no peace!”

Krami appeared [00:19:31] holding a black banner that said: “Globalize the Intifada” and chanted [00:21:25]: “From New York to Gaza, Globalize the Intifada!” She also chanted [00:22:07]: “From NYU [New York University] to CUNY Globalize the Intifada!”

Krami also chanted [00:20:25]: “Not another nickel, not another dime! No more money for Israel’s crimes!”

Al Awda Activism

On May 6, 2022, Krami featured [00:00:01] in a Palestinian flag ceremony at the Al-Awda National Conference opening night. She appeared [00:00:25] in a Twitter video marching in front of two men filming the event with their cellphones. Krami wore a black t-shirt and had a black and white keffiyeh-patterned mask covering her face.

Krami also posted on Instagram the previous month: “WE NEED YOUR HELP!
‘Rising to Return’, the 14th National Al-Awda Palestine Right to Return Conference is not just a gathering of like minded activists, but a working conference to map strategies toward advancing Palestinian liberation and return and to devise tactics to dismantle zionist supremacy and colonization…”

The “right of return” is a Palestinian demand discredited as a means to eliminate Israel. International law mandates no absolute right of return and UN Resolution 194, which defined principles for “refugees wishing to return to their homes,” was unanimously rejected by Arab nations following the 1948 Arab-Israeli War.

On April 16, 2022, Krami participated in an Al-Awda rally where she marched and chanted [00:00:02]: “Whose streets? Our streets! Whose land? Our land!”

Krami appeared [00:00:05] in an Al-Awda Twitter video with the hashtag #DefendAlAqsa. She was on the right side of the screen holding a black Al-Awda banner and wearing a red dress with a black and white-patterned keffiyeh as a shawl. She also chanted [00:00:19]: “لا الله الا الله وشهید حبيب الله[There is no God, but -Allah, and the martyrs are the beloved of Allah].”

The allegation that Jews “threaten” to destroy the Al-Aqsa Mosque has been a pretext for Arab attacks on Jews long before the existence of the modern Jewish state. Such propaganda has led to multiple periods of violence against Israeli civilians.

The rally was held in at Brooklyn, New York, and was titled: “Defend Palestine.”

Krami also chanted [00:00:03] at the rally: “Resistance is Justified When People are Occupied!” and [00:00:22]: “From the River to the Sea, Palestine Will be Free!”

Krami then chanted [00:00:09]: “From New York to Gaza, Globalize the Intifada!” and [00:00:27]: “Hey, hey, ho, ho, Zionism has gotta to go!”

Terror Support

On January 19, 2022, Krami posted a video on TikTok in which she claimed the six terrorists who had escaped the Gilboa maximum-security prison in Israel in September 2021 were “activists [who] got arrested for no reason whatsoever, besides being Palestinian.”

On September 11, 2021, Krami appeared [slide 1] in a WOL group photo on Instagram holding a banner that said: “Victory to the Freedom Fighters of Jenin. Freedom to all Palestinian prisoners.” The banner had a photo of each of the six terrorists who had just escaped from the Gilboa prison. Krami could be seen at the left side of the screen raising a Palestinian flag attached to a short pole.

Hatred of Zionists

On January 23, 2022, Krami posted a video on TikTok in which she accused Zionists of “stealing a land” that’s not theirs. She then said: “Stop stealing my s**t, bro…Get the f**k away from my s**t!” In the post, Krami wrote: “...#freeusallfromZIonists.”

On February 5, 2022, Krami posted a video on TikTok in which she was lip-syncing to a voice that said: “I’m gonna say this one time: if you don’t want the world to know that you’re a s**tty person, you probably shouldn’t be a s**tty person.” Subtitle text appeared simultaneously in the video that read: “When Zionists get offended by the truth. Free Palestine 🇵🇸🇵🇸🇵🇸🇵🇸🇵🇸🇵🇸🇵🇸🇵🇸🇵🇸🇵🇸🇵🇸🇵🇸🇵🇸🇵🇸.”

Hatred of Israel

On June 3, 2018, Krami posted on Facebook: “Free Palestine 🇵🇸 Israel doesn’t exist” and added anti-Israel cartoons.

On January 20, 2022, Krami posted a video on TikTok in which she said: “Your [American] tax money goes directly to Israel to fund the killing of innocent people…” Her words were in response to a user that said: “If I only knew my tax dollars were paying for this crap…🥺.”

On March 14, 2022, Krami posted a video on TikTok in which she said that U.S. foreign aid to Israel “kills innocent people.”

WOL

Within Our Lifetime (WOL) is a pro-terror activist group in New York City dedicated to Israel’s destruction within the lifetime of its members.

Acts of violence and physical confrontations with police have frequently occurred at WOL protests and marches. WOL uses harassment campaigns to target pro-Israel organizations or companies that do business with Israel, making it a part of the Boycott, Divestment, Sanctions (BDS) movement.

Multiple activists who have either burned Israeli flags or led chants at WOL rallies were later jailed for violent anti-Semitic hate crimes, including Saadah Masoud and Waseem Awawdeh. In Masoud’s case, he received 18 months in jail for an anti-Semitic assault at an April 2022 WOL rally and two other anti-Semitic assaults in 2021.

WOL promotes “resistance” against Israel “by any means necessary,” calls to “Globalize the Intifada,” spreads incitement and idolizes [00:34:06] Palestinian terrorists like Leila Khaled and others at rallies and online events.

WOL was founded by Nerdeen Kiswani and Dan Cione in 2015. Kiswani is a frequent speaker at WOL rallies where she has promoted terrorism against Israelis and called for the death of Zionists. She has also provided support for Masoud and other activists following their arrests.

WOL began as the New York City chapter of Students for Justice in Palestine (SJP), going by NYC SJP, but changed its name in 2018. The group is not found to be registered in any U.S. state as a nonprofit organization under its official name. Nor is there any listing for WOL under its name on the Internal Revenue Service (IRS) website for tax-exempt organizations.

Red Lions

The Red Lions is an anti-Israel group led by activist Saadah Masoud, a violent convicted criminal. He has promoted [00:52:04] violence against Israel supporters in his Red Lions activism.

In a July 2021 interview, Masoud discussed [00:24:48] how he founded the Red Lions as an “idea” for “anybody who has the heart to speak up against injustice” and how he gave [00:25:22] “Red Lions” t-shirts he made to people he felt lived up to this standard.

Red Lions activists have participated [slide 4] in multiple Within Our Lifetime (WOL) protests in New York City. At WOL protests, Red Lions activists [00:01:43] have expressed [00:17:58] hatred of Israelis, promoted [00:06:11] incitement and ripped [00:00:41] and burned [00:01:25] an Israeli flag.

When violent anti-Israel activist Mahmoud R. Musa was released from prison on June 9, 2021, he appeared [00:00:01] in a Twitter video with a Red Lions t-shirt draped on his back. Musa said [00:00:03], “Free Palestine,” and then Masoud said: “talk that s**t lions!” Musa was greeted [00:00:17] by several other people in Red Lions t-shirts. He then hugged [00:00:21] Masoud, who wore a Red Lions t-shirt.
