Fadi Kablawi

In a November 24, 2023 sermon, Kablawi celebrated [00:00:16] Hamas terrorism, promoted [00:00:28] antisemitism multiple times [00:02:40] and called for [00:02:49] Israel’s destruction. He gave the sermon at the Masjid As Sunnah An Nabawiyyah Miami mosque in North Miami, Florida, where he served as imam.

In the sermon, Kablawi said [00:00:16], referring to the Hamas October 7, 2023, terror attacks: “When we say Gaza has revived the heart of the ummah [Muslim nation], we are not exaggerating.”

Kablawi then referred [00:00:28] to the Jews, saying: “[It is] time for us to start…believing in Allah's words about these people. They will never, ever fulfill their agreement with you.”

Kablawi then said [00:01:22]: “We, as Muslims, need to keep our mind and our eyes toward the prize…From the River to the Sea…We want the whole Muslim world free. Not only Palestine. We want Egypt free. We want Jordan…Syria…Morocco free…Pakistan…Bangladesh…Dagestan…Chechnya free. We want every Muslim land: Malaysia, Indonesia…Saudi Arabia and the Gulf. All these lands must be freed and back to the deen [religion] of Muhammad. That is the real freedom.”

“From the River to the Sea, Palestine will be Free” is a chant used [00:02:47] to call for the elimination of the State of Israel. It has also been employed by Hamas leader Khaled Mashal to call for the replacement of Israel with an Islamic state. In April 2024, the U.S. House of Representatives passed a resolution condemning the chant as antisemitic.

Kablawi continued [00:02:25]: "The real freedom for a Muslim is when the Sharia of Allah is established the way Allah wants. And…that is freedom for mankind, for humanity.”

Kablawi later prayed [00:02:40] in Arabic: “Oh Allah, support our brothers in Palestine against the tyrannical Jews!…support our brothers in Gaza against the tyrannical Jews!”

Immediately afterward, Kablawi said [00:02:49], also in Arabic: “Oh Allah, bring annihilation upon the Zionists…shake the ground under their feet…shatter their unity, disperse their gathering, and make their hearts quake.”

In 2017, Kablawi was arrested [00:00:31] after being accused of defrauding his dental patients. He reportedly charged [00:01:15] his Medicaid clients as private patients and then received reimbursement money from Medicaid for treating them.

Kablawi was president of the Muslim Student Association (MSA) as an undergraduate student at Florida International University (FIU), as well as the founder of the MSA chapter for Muslim dental students at the University of Pennsylvania (Penn).

As of January 2024, Kablawi’s website said he ran two dental clinics, Mecca Dental and Madina Dental, both in North Miami, Florida. His website also said he taught at various mosques in south Florida, and that he was an instructor at the Alkauthar Institute and Cordoba Academy.

Kablawi received a doctoral degree in dental medicine from Penn in 2005.

Kablawi also went by the names Abu Ubeidah Almaqdisi and Fadi Yousef Kablawi.

The Muslim Student Association (MSA) was established by members of the Muslim Brotherhood in January 1963 at the University of Illinois, Urbana-Champaign, with the goal of "spreading Islam as students in North America." A 2004 FBI investigation uncovered an internal Muslim Brotherhood document in which a brotherhood leader identified the MSA as "one of our organizations."

The MSA reportedly has “nearly 600 chapters” located in the United States and Canada, and is “the most visible and influential Islamic student organization in North America,” boasting conferences, special events, publications, websites and other activities.

The organization includes a number of previous chapter presidents with explicit links to terrorist groups. Included are al-Qaeda cleric Anwar al-Awlaki (Colorado State University), Somali al-Shabaab militant leader Omar Shafik Hammami (University of South Alabama) and Pakistani Taliban recruiter Ramy Zamzam of the MSA's Washington, D.C. council.
