Catherine Massalha

Catherine Massalha is a Virginia high school history teacher who expressed support for Hamas terrorists and spread antisemitism in her classroom in late 2023. In the same class, which was for high school freshmen, she spread hatred of Israel and America. She was removed from her teaching duties shortly after the class.

The December 2023 incident occurred in the wake of Hamas terror atrocities and war crimes against Israeli civilians, including mass murder, torture, rape, beheadings and kidnappings, which were executed on October 7, 2023.

The Hamas terror attacks left over 1,200 Israelis dead, hundreds kidnapped and thousands wounded. Israel retaliated with a war called “Swords of Iron.”

Hamas has been designated as a terrorist organization by the U.S., Canada, European Union, Israel and other countries. Founded in 1987, it has killed thousands of Israeli civilians through mass shootings and suicide bombings. Hamas has also kidnapped children, families and the elderly and held them hostage in Gaza. It has desecrated [slide 7] dead bodies and launched numerous rocket attacks against Israeli civilians.

As of February 28, 2024, Massalha was still listed on Deep Run High School’s website as a history teacher. Her LinkedIn profile said she had been working there since October 2020.

As of February 2024, Massalha’s LinkedIn said she graduated from the University of Phoenix (UOPX) with a master’s degree in “Elementary and Secondary Education and Teaching” in 2004, and from Arizona State University (ASU) with a bachelor’s degree in anthropology in 1993.

As of the same date, Massalha’s LinkedIn said she was located in Henrico, Virginia. However, her Instagram bio said she was located in Richmond, Virginia.
