Aliya Latif
Aliya Latif [Aliya P. Latif] has spread hatred of Israel and is a supporter of the Boycott, Divestment, Sanctions (BDS) movement.
The profilee's statements were made during an extended period of global antisemitism that began with the October 7, 2023, terror attacks, when Hamas murdered nearly 1,200 Israelis, injured thousands and kidnapped hundreds. Israel immediately launched a war against Hamas.
As of January 2026, Latif was listed as a member of the transition team for New York City mayor Zohran Mamdani, serving on the Government Operations Committee.
Mamdani has called for dismantling capitalism and promoted hatred of the police. He has also justified Hamas terrorism and glorified terror supporters. On his first day as mayor, he revoked executive orders designed to combat antisemitism, including increased police protection at synagogues, and nullified a ban on city officials to boycott Israel.
Latif has maintained ties to anti-Israel activist Linda Sarsour since at least 2017.
Linda Sarsour has been a political mentor to Mamdani since at least 2017. She has expressed support for violence in America and called for Israel's destruction. She endorsed his 2020 run to the New York State Assembly and backed his 2025 mayoral campaign, which she said received significant funding from the Council on American-Islamic Relations (CAIR).
As of January 2026, Latif was listed on the New York City government website as the director of strategic partnerships and special projects at the Office of the New York City Comptroller.
In July 2009, Latif was listed as the civil rights director at the New York City chapter of the Council on American-Islamic Relations (CAIR), known as CAIR-NY.
As of January 2026, Latif's Facebook said she was located in Queens, New York.
