Adam Erkan

Adam Erkan [Ridvan Erkan] was arrested and charged with aggravated battery and a hate crime after he reportedly assaulted two Jewish students on a college campus in November 2024. The incident reportedly left one student with a brain injury and another needing surgery.

The incident occurred during Israel’s war against Hamas, which Israel launched after the October 7, 2023, terror attacks when Hamas murdered nearly 1,200 Israelis, injured thousands and kidnapped hundreds.

As of July 2025, Erkan's LinkedIn profile said he worked part-time as an 8th-grade teacher at Fountain Academy in Mount Prospect, Illinois, which is a suburb of Chicago, Illinois.

As of the same date, Erkan's LinkedIn said he was the CEO of TeemOBA, "a US based travel agency specializing in providing exceptional Umrah Service to the American Muslim Community." The Umrah is the Islamic pilgrimage to Mecca, Saudi Arabia.

Also as of July 2025, Erkan's LinkedIn said he graduated from Triton College (Triton) with an associate's degree in computer science in May 2025. His LinkedIn said he was located in the greater Chicago area.
