Gary Hector
Overview
Gary Hector is a gun enthusiast who has spread anti-Semitism and hatred of America and Israel online.As of November 2020, Hector’s Facebook page said he was a “cult leader” at the Israelite School of Universal Practical Knowledge (ISUPK) from “March 31, 2019 - Present.”
ISUPK is a Black Hebrew Israelite group, one of several African American groups whose members claim to be the true descendants of the ancient biblical Hebrews.
ISUPK is reportedly part of a “national organization based previously in Upper Darby, Pennsylvania, and now with its headquarters in New York.”
Also as of November 2020, Hector’s Facebook page also said he was an “Officer of 5000” at ISUPK from “November 18, 2018 - Present.”
As of the same date, Hector’s Facebook bio said he was a ”PRIEST AND OFFICER OF 5000” working “UNDER COMMANDING GENERAL YAHANNA,” and went by the name “Gary Malakwath Hector.”
Also as of the same date, Hector’s other Facebook page said he lived in Houston, Texas and went by the name “Qatazayan Malakwath.”
Hector also went by the name “Officer Malakwath” on Instagram and used the handle malakwath.
Anti-Semitism
On July 15, 2020, Hector shared one of his social media statuses on Instagram that read: “BLACK PEOPLE CAN BE ANYTHING IN AMERICA EXCEPT GODS CHOSEN PEOPLE...NICK CANNON WAS DROPPED FOR SPEAKING THE TRUTH ACCORDING TO THE BIBLE...THE REAL JEWS ARE BLACK AND THE WHITE MAN IS THE DEVIL THE BIBLE SPEAKS OF!!!”Nick Cannon was fired by ViacomCBS after he made anti-Semitic comments on his podcast, for which he later apologized. Cannon reportedly promoted various anti-Semitic conspiracy theories, including the claim that Jewish people control the media.
Cannon also reportedly suggested that Jewish people were not real Jews and that African Americans were “the true Hebrews.”
On July 25, 2020, Hector wrote on Facebook: “THEY TOOK HIS NECK OUT OF THE NOOSE AND PUT HIS BALLS IN IT...SPIRITUALLY OF COURSE.”
Hector’s post linked to an article titled: “Rabbi Who Consulted Nick Cannon Says They’re Continuing His Jewish Education.”
The article referred to Rabbi Abraham Cooper, director of Global Social Action Agenda for the Simon Wiesenthal Center who met with Nick Cannon following anti-Semitic remarks he made.
On August 22, 2020, Hector wrote on Facebook: “HE IS WAY PAST KISSING A**...HE PUT HIS LIPS ON THE RIM.”
Hector’s post linked to an article, titled: “Nick Cannon, ViacomCBS may reconcile professional relationship: report.”
On December 10, 2018, Hector wrote on Facebook: “FAKE ISRAELITE STARTER PACKAGE.”
Hector’s post featured several graphics, including one that featured an image of someone with a Yellow star of David on his forehead with a caption that read: “Jews control the media and own America.”
Another graphic shared in the post featured an image that depicted a Jew as an octopus using his tentacles to control the world. The image was taken from a 1935 Nazi anti-Semitic publication, titled: “DEN JØDISKE IMPERIALISME” by Dutch National Socialist, Max Johannes Arildskov.
On August 14, 2018, Hector wrote on Instagram: “THE NARRATIVE USED TO BE ‘IF YOU WANT TO HIDE SOMETHING FROM NIGGAS...PUT IT IN A BOOK’...NOW SINCE THEY SEE NIGGAS ARE READING...THE PUT A PRICE ON IT...BUT THE ISUPK IS RESOURCEFUL.”
Hector’s post featured a screenshot of an Amazon.com listing of the book by Charles A. Weisman, titled: “WHO IS ESAU-EDOM?”
Weisman was an author infamous for publishing anti-Semitic material, such asThe Hidden Tyranny.” Weisman also reportedlyauthored “a score of booklets that attack Jews, decry the Catholic Church and claim that ‘cognitive tests have proven the Negro to be intellectually inferior to the European.’”
As of July 2020, the description of Weisman’s book, “WHO IS ESAU-EDOM?” on Amazon said the book “traces the life & destiny of Esau and his descendants, the Edomites, to the present day, and their connection with modern Jewry.”The description also said: the book “will unveil and explain many of the problems in the world.”
On February 4, 2018, Hector shared a graphic on Instagram with a photo of former Egyptian President, Gamal Abdul Nasser and text, referring to a purported quote ascribed to Nasser,that read: “He could not respect the present Jews because they left Israel black and came back white.”
Hatred of America
On September 11, 2018, Hector shared a post on Instagram that read: “HAPPY 9/11” in reference to the 9/11 terror attacks on New York City.On December 30, 2019, Hector wrote on Facebook: “AMERICA IS ANTI-SEMITIC...THE REAL JEWS ARE BLACK AND AMERICA HATES BLACK PEOPLE. SHOULD BE CHARGED WITH A HATE CRIME AS WELL.”
Hector’s post linked to an article on CNN.com, titled: “The suspect in the NY Hanukkah stabbings now faces federal hate crime charges. Here's what authorities found.”
The article referred to Grafton Thomas, who was reportedly accused of “using a machete to wound five” Jewish people at a Hanukkah celebration in Monsey, New York.
Thomas, who reportedly had a history of mental illness,faced “hate crime charges after authorities discovered anti-Semitic journal entries in his home,” which included content that resembled Black Hebrew Israelite ideology.
Hatred of Israel
On July 2, 2019, Hector wrote on Facebook: “PUSH THE GOT DAMN BUTTON.”Hector’s post linked to an article, titled: “Iran official: If US attacks, Israel will be destroyed in half an hour.”
