Khaled Mattawa

Khaled Mattawa signed an anti-Israel letter during Israel’s war against Hamas terrorists. Israel launched the war after the October 7, 2023, terror attacks.

The May 8, 2024 letter Khaled Mattawa signed accused Israel of “genocide” in its war against Hamas and showed support for the pro-terror campus encampments. It also endorsed elements of the Boycott, Divestment, Sanctions (BDS) movement.

As of July 2025, Khaled Mattawa was listed as a professor of English language and literature at the University of Michigan-Ann Arbor (U-M Ann Arbor), which is located in Ann Arbor, Michigan.

As of the same date, Khaled Mattawa's LinkedIn profile said he had worked as the executive director of the Arete Foundation for Arts and Culture in Tripoli, Libya, since 2014.
