In March 2010, during a lecture at Northeastern, Sullivan said: [00:01:55] “We can say that Hamas is a terrorist organization, sure. They also do great health care and kindergartens.”

In the same lecture, referring to the Palestine Liberation Organization (PLO), Sullivan also said [00:02:52]: “Just like the PLO; we moved the PLO to negotiate with Israel; we can move Hamas as well negotiate with Israel.”

Sullivan further said [00:13:56]: “Hamas doesn’t recognize Israel, so what?”

According to an account by a student, when she wrote a paper arguing that Hamas, as a terrorist organization, cannot be given legitimacy, Sullivan reportedly threatened the student with a poor grade unless she rewrote it.

In March 2010, during a lecture at Northeastern, Sullivan said [00:07:05]: “There is a strong pro-Israel lobby in the United States...and I think it’s silly and against American national interests.”

Sullivan also assigned [00:07:33] students to read “The Israel Lobby and US Foreign Policy” by John Mearsheimer and Stephen Walt, which promoted an anti-Semitic conspiracy theory about Jewish control over foreign governments.

In 2007, students on a study-abroad trip to the Middle East run by Sullivan met [00:09:13] with Zahi Hawass, an Egyptian official who has claimed [00:09:26] that Jews “went to America and took control of its economy” and that “they control the entire world.”
