Baher Azmy

Baher Azmy [Baher A. Azmy] spread hatred of Israel and showed support for the Boycott, Divestment, Sanctions (BDS) movement during Israel's war against Hamas. Israel launched the war after the October 7, 2023 terror attacks when Hamas murdered nearly 1,200 Israelis, injured thousands and kidnapped hundreds.

As of January 2026, Azmy was listed as a member of the transition team for New York City mayor Zohran Mamdani, serving on the Legal Affairs Committee.

Mamdani has called for dismantling capitalism and promoted hatred of the police. He has also justified Hamas terrorism and glorified terror supporters. On his first day as mayor, he revoked executive orders designed to combat antisemitism, including increased police protection at synagogues, and nullified a ban on city officials to boycott Israel.

Also as of January 2026, Azmy was listed on the Center for Constitutional Rights (CCR) website as its legal director. CCR justified the Hamas terror attacks of October 7, 2023 and then spread hatred of Israel and promoted BDS during Israel's war against Hamas.

In September 2025, Azmy was affiliated with the anti-Israel group Council on American Islamic Relations (CAIR), when he was slated to speak at CAIR's "Leadership & Policy Conference" in Washington, D.C.

Also as of January 2026, Azmy's LinkedIn said he was a professor of law at Seton Hall University (Seton Hall) School of Law, which is in South Orange, New Jersey. His LinkedIn said he was located in Brooklyn, New York.
