Zenopha Hudson

Overview

Zenopha Hudson has spread Holocaust revisionism and anti-Semitism as a member of Israel United in Christ (IUIC). 

IUIC is an African-American religious sect founded in 2003. IUIC members self-identify as “Hebrews” and “Israelite,” a reference to the Black Hebrew Israelites (BHI) who claim to be the true descendants of the ancient biblical Hebrews. Hudson has been a member of IUIC since at least 2016. 

On January 20, 2023, Hudson posted a flyer on his Facebook page for a service called “Baarkz.” Hudson wrote: “1 week of premium dog food for one of our customers.” 

As of February 2023, Hudson’s Facebook said he was located in Houston, Texas.

As of February 2023, Hudson went by the username “Benayah Israel” on one of his Facebook accounts. As of the same date, he used the handle “@Benayah144k” on Twitter, and his bio said: “Israelite from the tribe of Judah.”

Holocaust Revisionism

On February 3, 2022, Hudson posted to Facebook: “The holocaust was white on white crime.”

On February 5, 2022, Hudson shared a Facebook post that read: “THE HOLOCAUST WAS EDOMITE ON EDOMITE CRIME!!! #whoopiwasright.”

Edom is a kingdom in the Old Testament. BHIs allege that Jews and white people descend from the wicked Esau, whose descendants are called Edomites. BHIs refer to Jews as “Edomites” to also deny that Ashkenazi Jews, whose ancestors fled to Europe, are descendants of the biblical Israelites. BHIs claim that they themselves are the real descendants of Esau’s righteous brother Jacob, who was the progenitor of the Twelve Tribes of Israel.  

On January 31, 2022, actress Whoopi Goldberg, who is co-host on ABC’s The View talk show, said [00:04:44]: “The Holocaust isn’t about race” because it involved [00:05:09] “two white groups of people.” Goldberg issued a public apology shortly after and was suspended from The View for two weeks following public outrage.

Anti-Semitism

On October 22, 2022, Husdon shared a post on Facebook with a pro-IUIC graphic. The graphic’s top half featured a photo of IUIC founder Nathanyel Israel posing with other IUIC members, with text that read: “JEWS.” The bottom half featured a photo of ultra-Orthodox Jews, with text across it that read: “JEW-ISH.”

The post said: “Revelations 2:9 KJV I know thy works, and tribulation, and poverty, (but thou art rich) and I know the blasphemy of them which say they are Jews, and are not, but are the synagogue of Satan.”

The phrase “synagogue of Satan” is mentioned in two verses from the New Testament’s Book of Revelation (2:9, 3:9). BHIs have used these verses to justify anti-Semitism.

On April 25, 2017, Hudson shared on Facebook a meme that featured a white man talking to a white child. The child asks: “So we’re not the real Jews?” The man replies: “No kiddo…we’re Khazars.” 

The claim that “Jew-ISH [or Je-wish] people” are white Europeans who come from the Khazar People is a tactic employed by the BHIs to deny Jewish heritage and any historical ties to Israel. According to the largest genetic analysis of Jewish communities from around the world, including Jews from Iran, Iraq, Italy, Greece, Turkey, Syria and eastern Europe, they all share a common "genetic thread."  

On March 8, 2016, Hudson posted a photo of himself on Facebook wearing a T-shirt with the text: “JEW BY BLOOD NOT BY THEFT.” 
 
On February 17, 2016, Hudson posted on Facebook: “Revelations 3:9 Behold, I will make them of the synagogue of Satan, which say they are Jews, and are not, but do lie; behold, I will make them to come and worship before thy feet, and to know that I have loved thee.”

The post included a graphic that featured one image of a black man with the caption: “THE REAL JEW” and an Orthodox Jew pulling at his sidecurls with the caption: “JEWISH” in blue and white letters. Above the graphic, Hudson quoted Revelations 2:9.

On September 8, 2015, Hudson reposted on Facebook the text of Revelations 2:9 and a graphic comprising one photo of Orthodox Jews with the text: “fake jews,” and another photo of a group of black men with the text: “real jews.”
