Vanessa Rivera has spread hatred of Israel and participated in an anti-Israel event in Santa Clara, California, in 2024. At the event, she promoted the Boycott, Divestment, Sanctions (BDS) movement.
The profilee's activism occurred during Israel’s war against Hamas, which Israel launched after the October 7, 2023, terror attacks when Hamas murdered nearly 1,200 Israelis, injured thousands and kidnapped hundreds.
As of July 2025, Vanessa Rivera’s LinkedIn said she was an office administrator at CalSmile Family Dental.

The Council on American-Islamic Relations (CAIR) chapter in the San Francisco Bay Area (CAIR-SFBA) hosted the event.
At the event, activists with the anti-Israel group San Jose Against War promoted a petition that the group authored and was endorsed by CAIR-SFBA. The petition was in support of the Boycott, Divestment, Sanctions (BDS) movement and was titled: "SAN JOSE CITY COUNCIL: DIVEST FROM ISRAEL’S GENOCIDE AGAINST PALESTINE!"
The petition claimed multiple times that Israel was committing a "genocide" in its war against Hamas. It further accused Israel of "colonization" and called for a policy commonly known as the "right of return."
The “right of return” is a Palestinian demand discredited as a means to eliminate Israel. International law mandates no absolute right of return and UN Resolution 194, which defined principles for “refugees wishing to return to their homes,” was unanimously rejected by Arab nations following the 1948 Arab-Israeli War.
