On April 5, 2025, during Israel's war against Hamas, Dahleh represented PYM at an anti-Israel march titled: "MARCH ON WASHINGTON. STOP THE GENOCIDE!"
Dahleh gave a speech where he said [00:20:54]: "We must continue to treat Gaza as our compass until Palestine is free from the river to the sea. Until all of us are free. Repeat after me. From the river to the sea, Palestine will be free! From the river to the sea, Palestine will be free!"
“From the River to the Sea, Palestine will be Free” is a chant used [00:02:47] to call for the elimination of the State of Israel. It has also been employed by Hamas leader Khaled Mashal to call for the replacement of Israel with an Islamic state. In April 2024, the U.S. House of Representatives passed a resolution condemning the chant as antisemitic.
During the same speech, Dahleh represented [00:16:10] while wearing a T-shirt that read: "END ZIONISM. ARMS EMBARGO NOW..."
Zionism is the belief that Jews have the right to self-determination in their own national home, and the right to develop their national culture. Zionism is a core part of the identity of most Jews.
Dahleh also said [00:17:03]: "Gaza has defined the world for us in simple terms. On one side, the forces of genocide, siege and repression! And on the other, the forces of justice, of liberation and of peace!"
Israel and Egypt implemented a UN-approved [pp. 39–41] joint blockade of the Gaza Strip in 2011 to stop Hamas terrorists from acquiring more sophisticated rockets. During Israel's 2023-2025 war against Hamas, Hamas went around the blockade by smuggling weaponry through tunnels under the Philadelphi corridor separating Gaza from Egypt.
In May 2024, Dahleh gave an interview for the "On The Line" podcast while attending the People's Conference for Palestine in Detroit, Michigan.
In the interview, Dahleh referred [00:02:36] to the "right of return," stating: "I think that any movement taking up our cause is incredible...Being able to build towards the defeat of Zionism and the return to our homeland, that's an amazing thing!"
The “right of return” is a Palestinian demand discredited as a means to eliminate Israel. International law mandates no absolute right of return and UN Resolution 194, which defined principles for “refugees wishing to return to their homes,” was unanimously rejected by Arab nations following the 1948 Arab-Israeli War.
