Shehab Ammar

On March 25, 2014, Ammar was arrested in Clearlake, California after he reportedly physically assaulted a police officer who was attempting to arrest him.

Police were responding to a report of a person punching parked and moving vehicles. When officers arrived at the scene, Ammar, who reportedly matched the description of the person, began to flee. A taser and police K-9 were used unsuccessfully before officers managed to subdue and arrest Ammar. Two officers involved in the incident were injured.

Ammar was reportedly charged with “resisting arrest, battery on a police officer and causing harm to a police dog.” On May 29, 2021, Ammar tweeted that he “spent 100 days in jail...”

On June 12, 2020, Ammar tweeted that he had “Fractured a white cops eye socket and f**ked up his partner.” His tweet was in response to a tweet that said: “like this tweet if you ever beat up a white man in power.”

On April 4, 2021, Ammar tweeted a link to a song and wrote: “I’d slaughter a whole p*lice department while listening to this.”

On February 14, 2021, Ammar tweeted: “Daily reminder that all cops deserve to choke and die as soon as possible.”

On January 28, 2021, Ammar tweeted referring to a tweet with a photo of an armed police officer: “I’d love to watch some 15 year old ISIL militant blast a hole through this dudes head with a 23 year old FAL.” FAL stands for “Fusil Automatique Léger” in French - a Light Automatic Rifle.

In the same thread, Ammar tweeted: “What I’m saying is I’d love to see all these Larping cops d*e.”

On August 6, 2020, Ammar tweeted about using a “villain” emoji: “I work alone like the punisher because I'm sad and can't move on and want to kill cops.”

On June 7, 2020, Ammar tweeted: “I wish candles exploded when thrown at cops. I would have raided Bath and Body works in a heart beat. Also the fact that they really thought this was something worth posting shows how utterly f**king stupid police are.”

Ammar’s tweet was in reference to a tweet by the Seattle police department about protesters throwing rocks, bottles and improvised explosives at officers.

On June 27, 2020, Ammar tweeted a photo of himself shooting a handgun at a firing range. He wrote: “I am the vice president of the left and I will fucking shoot a nazi.”

In another tweet in the thread, he wrote: “I'll shoot other bigots too Fyi.”

On November 20, 2020, Ammar tweeted: “If you can get a gun, buy a f**king gun. Years of anti-gun sentiment has brainwashed people into believing they don't need weapons to defend themselves. Whether yore defending yourself against cops or other variations of bigots, a gun is your best weapon.”

On April 26, 2023, Ammar tweeted: “Jewish folks are Fr [for real] the most pretentious people in earth…They’re all f**king Europeans claiming Judean ancestry but most of them are afraid to take a blood test and prove their roots.”

In the same thread, he tweeted: “You settler, European Jews have no right to be in Palestine. Europe is your home and Israel is a white supremacist, settler entity trying to ethnically cleanse Palestine so WHITE EUROPEANS can rule the land.. HITLERS DREAM REALIZED.”

On November 19, 2020, Ammar tweeted: “LOL The Jewish people should be ashamed of the monster their government is.” His tweet linked to a report about the U.S. labeling the Boycott, Divestment, Sanctions (BDS) movement as anti-Semitic.

The International Holocaust Remembrance Alliance (IHRA) highlights as one possible contemporary example of anti-Semitism: “Holding Jews collectively responsible for actions of the state of Israel.”

The U.S. State Department adopted the IHRA’s working definition of anti-Semitism in 2016. Twenty-eight European countries, as well as Canada, Australia, Israel and Argentina, have also adopted the definition.

On November 18, 2020, Ammar tweeted: “‘COMPARING THE ISRAELI GOVERNMENT AND IDF TO NAZIS IS ANTI SEMTIC EVEN THOUGH THEY EXHIBIT SIMILAR TACTICS!!’ Eat my s**t and hair. Also free Palestine.”

The IHRA antisemitism definition includes as another possible example: “Drawing comparisons of contemporary Israeli policy to that of the Nazis.”

On April 10, 2023, in response to a tweet announcing the death of an Israeli woman, Lucy Dee, after a terror attack, Ammar tweeted: “Great news! European settler cretins get what they deserve (death) for their acts of terror and invasion.”

In the same thread, he tweeted: “Stope invading our land and you will not die! Simple as that. Stay in Europe where you belong!”

Also on April, 10, 2023, Ammar tweeted: “Yeah they needed to stay in Europe where they belong lmao.”

On the same date, he tweeted: “If only you people just stayed in Europe where your ancestors are from. Stop claiming Judaism you disgusting cretins. You are white supremacist Europeans invading my peoples land.”

On April 10, 2023, Ammar tweeted: “The @IDF operates like HITLER. They would gladly GENOCIDE the whole Palestinian population but the global eye is on them and they do not dare try YET…”

Also on April 10, 2023, Ammar tweeted, referring to a picture of an Israeli flag: “What a foul, agressive flag of hate and white supremacy. You Europeans love Hitler so much you wish to enact his teachings on Palestine.”

On January 14, 2021, Ammar tweeted: “People say ‘Never forget the Holocaust’ and then stand back and watch the United States and Israel exterminate half of the Middle East.”

On January 13, 2021, Ammar tweeted: “The United States and Israel are terrorist countries.”

On December 26, 2020, Ammar tweeted about Israeli actress Gal Gadot: “I woke up this morning to Gal Godot being dragged on Twitter and I honestly couldn't be happier. The normalization of the Israeli state as some harbinger of peace and morality is f**king disgusting. F**k the Israeli government and military and anyone who supports them.”

On the same date, Ammar tweeted: “Isreal is just the extended b****rd child of the United States and Britain.”

Also on December 26, 2020, Ammar tweeted: “Israel is an settler state funded almost exclusively by the United States and criticizing its government and military for their crimes against humanity will literally never be antisemitic. They will go to the greatest lengths to mar any valid rebuke of their war crimes.”

On December 30, 2020, Ammar tweeted: “Forgot Israel and the United states” in response to a tweet listing the “The Top 10 Human Rights Abusers of 2020.”

On December 20, 2020, Ammar tweeted: “We all know any comment that isn't kissing the Israeli governments feet makes you antisemitic…”

On November 27, 2020, Ammar tweeted: “The United States and Israel are terrorist nations that need to be stopped. They can't continue to invade and assassinate with impunity.”

On November 24, 2020, Ammar tweeted: “The United States has never stopped being a horribly racist, bigoted, white supremacist nation. Our government is a terrorist entity at home and abroad. When will enough be enough?”

On November 19, 2020, Ammar tweeted: “F**k the Israeli government and the IDF [Israel Defense Forces] especially. All my homies hate apartheid.”

On November 17, 2020, Ammar tweeted about America: “This country isn't anything to be proud of. This white supremacist, imperialist government did not pioneer human rights or equity...”

On September 5, 2020, Ammar tweeted: “... My gums were as bloody as the hands of the IDF when I flossed and once I got a teeth cleaning, they stopped.”

On September 2, 2020, Ammar tweeted: “The disgusting irony of the IDF can never be understated. The DF of a nation created in response to a genocide openly commits apartheid and would gladly commit the same genocide if the world wasn't watching.”

On March 18, 2020, Ammar tweeted: “She is a walking ad for the IDF and the Israeli government, f**k her.”
