Overview
Christopher Cantwell has been arrested for violent crimes, promoted violence and led anti-Jewish chants during a white supremacist rally in Charlottesville, Virginia.He has alo promoted coronavirus anti-Semitism as well as general anti-Semitism, spread racism and mocked the Holocaust.
As of April 2020, Cantwell’s gab.com bio said: “Kill all commies, kikes and n**gers…” Cantwell’s gab.com profile was activated in June 2019.
A former gab.ai account maintained by Cantwell contained multiple photoshopped memes of himself posing at lynchings of Black people and scenes from the Holocaust.
As of May 2020, Cantwell has hosted a podcast on Bitchute called “Radical Agenda” since January 2018. As of the same date, he had an online blog and shared his podcast on RadioPublic.
Cantwell featured as a guest on the Neo-Nazi podcast The Daily Shoah (TDS), as well as on FTN [Fash the Nation] and Mike and the Mad Wop from 2015 until 2018.
As of May 2020, Cantwell was scheduled to go to trial in June, and federal prosecutors were reportedly considering adding new charges. As of May 2020, Cantwell remained in detention.
In 2017, when Cantwell was incarcerated in Virginia, he was reportedly able to continue podcasting by telephoning associates who recorded Cantwell’s content and posted it on his behalf.
In 2017, Cantwell was labeled asthe “Crying Nazi,” after a video of him crying was posted on Youtube, following his discovery that a warrant had been issued for his arrest. In August 2017, Cantwell was arrested and charged with illegal use of tear gas and assault during the Charlottesville rally.
Cantwell was arrested in 2017 for crimes of violence in Virginia and was reported to have a longstanding history of alcohol and substance abuse.
In January 2020, FBI agents reportedly “found 17 guns” when they arrested Cantwell at his residence across the street from a school.
As of May 2020, Cantwell’s profile on the Southern Poverty Law Center (SPLC) website said that in 2000, Cantwell plead guilty to “5th degree criminal possession of stolen property, 4th degree criminal possession of a weapon and driving while intoxicated… He was sentenced to six months in jail, of which, Cantwell said he served four before being released.”Promoting Violence

Towards the end of the documentary Cantwell was filmed showing off [00:19:13] his personal arsenal, which included several pistols, an AK-47 assault rifle and a knife.

On April 29, 2017, Cantwell was interviewed by News2Share at a National Socialist rally in Pikeville, Kentucky. The rally reportedly attracted more than “150 neo-Nazis and white supremacists, many of them armed.”
In a January 28, 2017 Facebook post, Cantwell reportedly wrote: “I think chemical and biological weapons can do a great deal of good for mankind. Releasing nerve gas or some kind of lethal virus into a left wing protest could prepare the bodies for physical removal without making a big scene for the cameras or destroying anything of value.”
In a September 22, 2015 interview on “The Daily Shoah, ” Cantwell reportedly said: “It’s the right thing to be concerned about the immigration, because you see these f**king hordes of unwashed religious fanatics pouring across borders with no resources just thinking that they’re going to collect welfare and f**k our women and f**king breed us put of existence. That makes me want to bash people’s skulls open, I understand.”
On March 15, 2014, Cantwell wrote an article titled: “Violently Overthrow the Government,” where he argued: “It is not impossible, impractical, or immoral to overthrow the government.”
On August 7, 2013, Cantwell wrote an article titled: “Concord Police, Go and Get Your Bearcat.” Cantwell suggested that a response to police tasked with maintaining public order was “at some point” to “kill government agents.”
Cantwell elaborated: “My proposal, and in all honesty, I’m still working out the details, has been to resort to force. For free men and women to forcefully defend themselves against agents of the State. To kill government agents who would otherwise use force against them, until their jobs simply become so dangerous that they seek other lines of work.”
The rally was organized to protest the planned removal of a statue of Confederate General Robert E. Lee.
One neo-Nazi who attended the rally drove his car into a group of counter-protesters, killing one and injuring at least 19 others. Another 14 people were injured in other fighting between white nationalists and leftist counter-protesters.
When Vice News interviewer asked Cantwell about the car ramming, Cantwell insisted [00:20:42] that the driver was justified in running down counter-protesters.
