Robert Eiden
Robert Eiden [Bob Eiden] was reportedly arrested at an anti-Israel protest in Louisville, Kentucky, in February 2024, in support of the Boycott, Divestment, Sanctions (BDS) movement.
The profilee's activism occurred during Israel’s war against Hamas, which Israel launched after the October 7, 2023, terror attacks when Hamas murdered nearly 1,200 Israelis, injured thousands and kidnapped hundreds.
On February 2, 2024, WAVE 3 News reported that Robert Eiden was one of 15 individuals arrested and “charged with trespassing” outside the RTX and BAE Systems facilities in Louisville. RTX and BAE Systems are both manufacturers of weapons technology.
The Louisville Ceasefire Coalition (LCC) helped organize the event. LCC was reportedly formed after October 7, 2023, to promote BDS during Israel’s war against Hamas, which has included calling for a ceasefire.
Robert Eiden was one of the "Raytheon Five," who chose to fight the charges at trial. The other 10 arrestees took plea deals.
Ahead of his first court appearance on February 6, 2024, Robert Eiden and others from the LCC gathered outside the Louisville Hall of Justice holding ceasefire signs and promising that they would continue protests.
In 2020, Louisville's Leo Weekly reported that Robert Eiden was charged with 34 incidents of vandalism for political graffiti. The estimated damage was said to be between $43,000 and $68,000.
According to AntifaWatch, Robert Eiden was reportedly arrested on July 26, 2018, for his role in an Occupy ICE-Louisville event that "disrupted/shut down operations at the Louisville Immigration Court." Eiden was reportedly charged with second-degree criminal trespass.
