On May 16, 2021, Almusa tweeted: “LONG LIVE PALESTINE LONG LIVE THE INTIFADA” during Israel’s Operation Guardian of the Walls (OGW) against Hamas.
The term “intifada,” which translates from Arabic as “uprising” or “insurrection,” carries the connotation of violence. Palestinian intifadas waged against Israel have been marked since 1987 by hundreds of hijackings, shootings, stabbings, bombings and suicide missions.
In May 2021, Hamas and Palestinian Islamic Jihad (PIJ) terrorists fired over 4,300 rockets from Gaza at major population centers in Israel. Israel responded by launching OGW, carrying out targeted military strikes.
On February 1, 2022, Almusa tweeted: “actually i’m gonna stop tweeting but before i go, i just wanna remind everyone that israel is an apartheid and a settler colonial state that has been committing crimes against the palestinians for over 70 years.

Almusa retweeted a January 14, 2021 tweet by Remi Kanazi that said: “F**k Israel. F**k Zionism. F**k Zionists. And f**k your feelings. Israel is a garbage apartheid state that should be boycotted, divested from, and sanctioned until Palestinians are free. Full stop. Have a good night.”
Almusa retweeted a December 25, 2020 tweet that said: “let kids believe in Santa! y’all old af and believe in Israel.”
Almusa retweeted a November 17, 2020 tweet that said: “Israel isn’t a country / 🛈 Official sources stated that is true.”
On August 4, 2020, an explosion at a port in Beirut, Lebanon killed over 150 people and injured thousands. Lebanese officials explained that the cause of the explosion was ammonium nitrate stored at a warehouse.
On June 25, 2020, Almusa tweeted: “it’s our duty to hold on to our roots bc if we don’t then israel would be successful in its ethnic cleansing of the palestinians.”

On October 3, 2019, Almusa tweeted: “literally lost all my respect for demi. i loved her and her music but not anymore since apparently israel is so magical and since she’s neglecting the genocide on Palestinians caused by israel. Anyways….”
Almusa's tweet referred to singer Demi Lovato who visited Israel in October 2019.
On March 22, 2019, Almusa tweeted: “THEY STOLE EVERYTHING FROM PALESTINE. ALLAH YA5UDKUM YA WLAD LKALB [MAY ALLAH PUNISH YOU, SONS OF A B**CH].”
On May 16, 2021, during OGW, Almusa tweeted flyers for an SJP rally and wrote: “ONCE AGAIN WE’LL TAKE IT TO THE STREETS / LETS GO BOSTON LETS GO / TUESDAY MAY 18 @ 5 PM COPLEY SQUARE / #GazaUnderAttak / #freepalestine / #SaveSheikhJarrah / #boston4palestine / #Boston.”
In May 2021, Palestinian violence erupted in anticipation of an Israel High Court ruling on eviction proceedings concerning over 70 Palestinian tenants illegally residing in Jewish-owned properties in the Jerusalem neighborhood of Sheikh Jarrah.
The rally was co-hosted by UMass Boston SJP, BDS Boston, the SJP chapters at Boston University and Wellesley College, as well as the Palestine Solidarity Committee (PSC) at Harvard University (Harvard PSC), which is the SJP chapter at Harvard.
The flyers describing the event announced [slide 2] that the rally was “Launched from Jerusalem” and extended across the world, and called for “support in maintaining this moment of unprecedented popular resistance.”
One of the flyers [slide 3] called on people to: “1. HOST AN ACTION AT THE ISRAELI CONSULATE OR EMBASSY IN YOUR REGION / 2. HOLD A PROTEST OF VIGIL FOR PALESTINIANS KILLED BY ISRAELI TERROR / 3. MAKE A PUBLIC COMMITMENT TO PALESTINIAN LIBERATION AND BDS / 4. CALL ON YOUR GOVERNMENTS TO PLACE SANCTIONS ON ISRAEL.”
On May 12, 2021, Almusa tweeted: “UPDATED POSTER!!! top left are all the organizations co sponsoring the event. we’re hoping for a big turnout. COPLEY SQUARE 2 PM SATURDAY FOR NAKBA COMMEMORATION #Boston #Palestine #FreePalestine #Massachusetts #SheikhJarrah #SaveSheikhJarraj #AlAqsaUnderAttack #AlAqsa #Nakba73.”
The term “Nakba” is generally translated as “catastrophe” in Arabic, referring to the outcome of the 1948 Arab-Israeli War. It is a term used to delegitimize the creation of the State of Israel by drawing a comparison to the Holocaust, known in Hebrew as the Shoah, meaning “catastrophe.”
The allegation that Jews “threaten” to destroy the Al-Aqsa Mosque has been a pretext for Arab attacks on Jews long before the existence of the modern Jewish state. Such propaganda has led to multiple periods of violence against Israeli civilians.
Among the listed co-sponsoring organizations were BDS Boston and the SJP chapters from six local universities, including UMass Boston SJP.
On May 10, 2021, Almusa tweeted: “couple pics from yesterday #SaveSheikhJarrah #Palestine #F**kIsrael #AlAqsaUnderAttack #AlAqsa.” One of the pictures said: “F**K ISRAEL / ALL MY HOMIES HATE ISRAEL / FREE PALESTINE.”
On the same date, a Twitter user commented on Almusa’s tweet asking: “...are there any more protests happening this week/weekend?” Almusa replied: “we’re trying to plan one for Saturday May 15th to commemorate the Nakba but we’re not sure. I’ll post on here if we plan it.”
On May 8, 2021, Almusa tweeted a flyer for an anti-Israel rally and wrote: “people of Boston!!! come and show your support!!! #SheikhJarrah #MikaylaMiller #SOSColmbia #Boston #Massachusetts #Palestine #BDS #BoycottIsrael #PalestineWillBeFree.” The rally was co-sponsored by five local SJP chapters, including UMass Boston SJP, and the Boston chapter of Jewish Voice for Peace (JVP), known as JVP Boston.
On May 7, 2021, Almusa tweeted: “a bunch of sjp clubs in the boston area protested for palestine last week. people came up to us asking us about our protest. they had so much appreciation for us and what we were doing and they definitely learned a lot about the occupation. keep talking about this.

.”SJP is a student organization engaged in anti-Israel activity on North American college and university campuses.
The first chapter of SJP was founded in 2001 at the University of California at Berkeley by Professor Hatem Bazian. Bazian has spread classic anti-Semitism, reportedly promoted religious anti-Semitism and defended the Hamas terror group. In 2004, Bazian called for “intifada” in America.
SJP organizes anti-Israel campaigns, including running annual Israel Apartheid Weeks, often in collaboration with Jewish Voice for Peace (JVP) and Muslim Student Association (MSA) campus chapters.
SJP has been a major force in pushing the anti-Semitic Boycott, Divestment, Sanctions (BDS) movement on campuses. Chapters have initiated dozens of BDS resolutions in student governments, which have been proposed on or around Jewish holidays, a time when many Jewish students are off-campus.
SJP activists have reportedly physically assaulted, intimidated and harassed Jewish students, disrupted pro-Israel campus events and demonized pro-Israel campus organizations.
Chapters have often endorsed and campaigned for numerous terrorists and whitewashed terrorism.
The Boycott, Divestment, Sanctions (BDS) movement was founded by pro-terror activist Omar Barghouti in 2005 to turn “Israel into a pariah state, as South Africa once was.” Barghouti has also called for Israel's destruction and the BDS movement demands would result in that same goal.
BDS initiatives include calling on institutions and individuals to divest from Israeli-affiliated companies, promoting academic and cultural boycotts of Israel, and organizing anti-Israel rallies, protests and campaigns.
The movement’s most notable achievement has been infiltrating university campuses through lobbying for “BDS resolutions.” In these cases, student governments propose resolutions to boycott or divestment from Israel or Israeli-affiliated entities. BDS activity is often aggressive and disruptive. It has been noted that universities that pass BDS resolutions see a marked increase in anti-Semitic incidents and pro-terror activism on campus.
