Date: Oct. 15, 2023

Organizers: PYM

Location: Santana Row, San Jose, CA

Event Flyer: Instagram

The Instagram post promoting the event said: "We will flood the streets of San Jose this Sunday, October 15th, with our unwavering support for the Palestinian people and their ongoing struggle for liberation!"

The language of “flood” is a reference to Operation Al-Aqsa Flood, the name Hamas used for their terror operation on October 7, 2023. It is a reference to the allegation that Jews “threaten” to destroy Jerusalem’s Al-Aqsa Mosque. This accusation has been a pretext for Arab attacks on Jews long before Israel was founded in 1948. Such propaganda has led to multiple periods of violence against Israeli civilians.

The event was in support of the Boycott, Divestment, Sanctions (BDS) movement. The outcome of the movement's goals would result in Israel's destruction. Within hours of the October 7, 2023, terror attacks, the BDS movement renewed its call for an anti-Israel boycott.
