Overview
Nathaniel Young [Nathaniel I. Young] has spread anti-Semitism while a member of the Israel United in Christ (IUIC) chapter in Alamo City/San Antonio, Texas (IUIC Alamo).IUIC is an African-American religious sect founded in 2003 whose members self-identify as “Hebrews” and “Israelite,” a reference to the Black Hebrew Israelites (BHI) who claim to be the true descendants of the ancient biblical Hebrews.
As of February 2023, Young's LinkedIn page said he had worked as an “IT Senior Analyst” at HCLTech in San Antonio, Texas, since August 2019.
Also as of February 2023, Young’s LinkedIn said he graduated [p. 11] from Prairie View A&M University (PVAMU) with a bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering in 2006.
As of February 2023, Young’s LinkedIn said he was located in San Antonio, Texas.
As of February 2023, Young went by the username “Nathaniel Ben Israel” on Twitter, and Facebook and Instagram. He used the handle “@Nateadamus” on Twitter.
Also as of February 2023, Young went by the username “Nathaniel Young III” on LinkedIn and on his second Facebook account.
Anti-Semitism
On July 25, 2020, Young posted to Facebook a video from the “IUICintheclassroom Two” YouTube channel titled: “SABBATH EVENING CLASS: TD JAKES POTTERS HOUSE SUPPORTS JEW-ISH LIES.”The terms “Jew-ISH" and "Je-WISH" are used by BHIs to claim that Jews are not "real Jews" but rather the descendants of white Europeans. The BHIs believe themselves to be the "real Jews."
In the video, IUIC founder Nathanyel Israel delivered the class and said [00:30:54]: “We're going over this because so-called Jewish people love to say they are innocent of the slave trade, that they had nothing to do with; that's a lie!”
Israel also claimed [01:37:26]: “The so-called Jewish man…engineered the slave trade.” He also said [01:46:26]: “That’s who these white people are, the so-called Jewish people; they're the children of Edom.”
Edom is a kingdom in the Old Testament. BHIs allege that Jews and white people descend from the wicked Esau, whose descendants are called Edomites. BHIs refer to Jews as “Edomites” to also deny that Ashkenazi Jews, whose ancestors fled to Europe, are descendants of the biblical Israelites. BHIs claim that they themselves are the real descendants of Esau’s righteous brother Jacob, who was the progenitor of the Twelve Tribes of Israel.
On July 28, 2020, Young shared an IUIC Alamo Facebook post which included four graphics. One graphic included a quote that read: “‘SLAVE TRADE WAS ONE OF THE MOST IMPORTANT JEWISH ACTIVITIES…’”
The claim that Jews were dominant in the transatlantic slave trade was propagated in a book published by the Nation of Islam titled: “The Secret Relationship between Blacks and Jews.” The book has been discredited in a work titled: “Jews, Slaves, and the Slave Trade: Setting the Record Straight,” by John Jay College of Criminal Justice professor of history, Eli Faber.
Another graphic in the same post featured text that read: “WHEN WILL THE JEWISH COMMUNITY ADDRESS AND APOLOGIZE FOR THEIR INVOLVEMENT IN THE GREATEST HOLOCAUST KNOWN TO MAN?”
The text of the post read: “The #Jewish Community was a major player in #Slavery! After 250 years one would imagine an #apology and acceptance for such savage behavior. What ‘Jewish’ leader is going to donate to the cause of the #Israelites?”
On November 13, 2020, Young shared an IUIC Alamo Facebook post that read: “‘The #Israelites are so important that our land and identity have been stolen by another people’ #FakeJews #Amalek #BalfourDeclaration #Zionism #Truth #IUIC.”
In the Biblical book of Exodus, Amalek is a recurrent enemy of the Jews.
The 1917 Balfour Declaration favored the establishment of a Jewish National home in British Mandate Palestine.
