Nadine Fattaleh

On October 17, 2024, during Israel's war against Hamas terrorists, Fattaleh was featured in an Instagram post about the opening of an art exhibition titled: "Materials of Solidarity," co-presented by Fattaleh.

The exhibit featured postcards of Hamas terrorists that invaded [00:00:22] Israel on October 7, 2023, while another postcard included text that read: "We don't need 'safety'-we need to escalate. Break the chains of colonialism."

On October 7, 2023, Hamas murdered approximately 1,200 Israelis, kidnapped hundreds and wounded thousands. War crimes included mass rape and torture. Many Palestinian civilians participated in and supported the attacks, and Gazans working in the targeted Israeli communities gave intelligence to Hamas on where to strike.

Another postcard glorified Ghassan Kanafani.

Kanafani was a leading member and spokesperson for the Popular Front for the Liberation of Palestine (PFLP) during the terrorist organization’s early years. Kanafani announced the PFLP’s responsibility for the Lod Airport Massacre of May 1972 and was linked to the airport attackers. The attack killed 26 people and wounded 80 others.

In fall 2024, Fattaleh co-authored an article in Hammer & Hope, titled: "An Alternative Economy Takes Root in the West Bank."

In the article, Fattaleh wrote that since October 7, 2023, there has been pressure on "organizations that refuse to tone down their support for resistance."

Among Palestinians and anti-Israel activists, the term “resistance” is a euphemism for nationalistic terror and is used to glorify and encourage anti-Israel and anti-Semitic violence.

On October 30, 2023, Fattaleh co-authored an article published in n+1 magazine, titled: "A Tradition of Defiance: any American who blames the violence of recent weeks on Hamas, or even just on Hamas and the Israelis, leaving America out, is not looking in the mirror."

Hamas has been designated as a terrorist organization by the U.S., Canada, European Union, Israel and other countries. Founded in 1987, it has killed thousands of Israeli civilians through mass shootings and suicide bombings. Hamas has also kidnapped children, families and the elderly and held them hostage in Gaza. It has desecrated [slide 7] dead bodies and launched numerous rocket attacks against Israeli civilians.

The article read: "By understanding what is happening in Palestine one can also come to ask important questions about the history and present-day reality of the settler colony we know as the United States of America."

In fall 2024, Fattaleh co-authored an article published Hammer & Hope, titled: "An Alternative Economy Takes Root in the West Bank."

In the article, Fattaleh referred to Israelis as "colonizers" and called Israel's war against Hamas a "genocidal war."

On October 15, 2024, Fattaleh gave a speech, in which she called [00:06:21] Israel's war against Hamas terrorists "Israel's war of total obliteration."

On October 30, 2023, Fattaleh co-authored an article published in n+1 magazine, titled: "A Tradition of Defiance: any American who blames the violence of recent weeks on Hamas, or even just on Hamas and the Israelis, leaving America out, is not looking in the mirror."

In the article, Fattaleh accused Israel of committing "genocide in Gaza."

In January 2025, Fattaleh was reportedly suspended and later placed on disciplinary probation by NYU after participating in a December 11, 2024 pro-BDS protest organized by the anti-Israel campus group Shut It Down NYU.

On December 12, 2024, Washington Square News published an article titled: "Students and Faculty Call for Divestment from Israel at Bobst [Library]." The article stated that Shut It Down NYU's members "occupied the library's 12th floor."

Also on December 12, 2024, Shut it Down NYU posted on Instagram that the "sit-in" had been followed by a same-day protest that "blocked entrances to several [campus] buildings."

In the same post, Shut it Down NYU wrote that "8 alumni, faculty, and community members [were] arrested."

On October 10, 2024, Fattaleh said [00:00:35] in an interview with Al Jazeera, referring to anti-Israel activism on college campuses: "We're just looking for new tactics to mobilize and continue to [keep the] movement going."

The Boycott, Divestment, Sanctions (BDS) movement was founded by pro-terror activist Omar Barghouti in 2005 to turn “Israel into a pariah state, as South Africa once was.” Barghouti has also called for Israel's destruction and the BDS movement demands would result in that same goal.

BDS initiatives include calling on institutions and individuals to divest from Israeli-affiliated companies, promoting academic and cultural boycotts of Israel, and organizing anti-Israel rallies, protests and campaigns.

The movement’s most notable achievement has been infiltrating university campuses through lobbying for “BDS resolutions.” In these cases, student governments propose resolutions to boycott or divestment from Israel or Israeli-affiliated entities. BDS activity is often aggressive and disruptive. It has been noted that universities that pass BDS resolutions see a marked increase in anti-Semitic incidents and pro-terror activism on campus.
