Calling for Israel’s Downfall
On September 25, 2020, Abuhadba tweeted: “Inshallah [Please God] I live long enough to see the downfall of israel.”Abuhadba was responding to a tweet claiming that Israel killed Mohamed Al-Durah and his father.
The Al-Durah hoax is an iconic piece of anti-Israel propaganda, fabricated on September 30, 2000 at the start of the Second Intifada by a France 2 reporter.

Abuhadba retweeted another May 8, 2021 tweet that read: “This laylatul qadr [Night of Decree] we pray for the downfall of Israel.”
Laylat al-Qadr is an Islamic festival marking the night when the Quran was said to be first sent down from heaven and its initial verses revealed to the Islamic Prophet Muhammad.

The tweet alluded to anti-Semitic blood libels against Jews alleging they would abduct gentiles for sacrificial purposes, including using the blood of Christian children to bake matzah for the Jewish holiday of Passover.

In May 2021, social media erupted with videos allegedly showing Jews dancing and cheering while a tree burned near the Al-Aqsa mosque. The fire was reportedly caused by Palestinian rioters shooting fireworks at Israeli police. Jews had gathered at the Western Wall in honor of Jerusalem Day, an Israeli national holiday, with no connection to the incident.
