Mohamed Erekat
Mohamed Erekat expressed support for Hamas terrorism, celebrated intifada and spread hatred of Israel as the president of an anti-Israel student group.
Erekat's activism took place during Israel’s war against Hamas, which Israel launched after the October 7, 2023, terror attacks when Hamas murdered nearly 1,200 Israelis, injured thousands and kidnapped hundreds. To learn more, see the Canary Mission page on Hamas.
In 2024-2025, Erekat was the president of the anti-Israel campus group Students for Justice in Palestine (SJP) chapter at San Diego State University (SDSU) (SJP SDSU).
As of October 2022, Erekat was reportedly an SJP board member.
As of November 2023, Erekat was reportedly "a second-year civil engineering student" at SDSU.
Erekat is the owner of The Seeds of Palestine, an online store specializing in anti-Israel merchandise.
In March 2024, Erekat posted that he "was born in Kuwait and grew up there."
SDSU is located in San Diego, California.
