Michael Rectenwald

Michael Rectenwald is the founder of the Anti-Zionist America Political Action Committee (AZAPAC). He has trivialized the Holocaust, spread antisemitism, promoted antisemitic conspiracy theories, and expressed hatred of Zionists and Israel. He is a supporter of the Boycott, Divestment, Sanctions (BDS) movement.

AZAPAC is a far-right and isolationist independent, expenditure-only political committee (super PAC). It is trying to "Remove Zionist influence from American politics," back candidates who "reject Israeli lobby money," and end all forms of U.S. support for Israel, whether material or political.

AZAPAC is part of a broader political network seeking to bring down the "American Empire" from within. To learn more on this network, see the Canary Mission campaign The Machine Behind the Democratic Party's Radical Transformation.

The “Israel Lobby” is a conspiracy theory alleging Israeli and Jewish control over the U.S. government.

The profilee's activism occurred during an extended period of global antisemitism that began with the October 7, 2023, terror attacks, when Hamas murdered nearly 1,200 Israelis, injured thousands and kidnapped hundreds. Israel immediately launched a war against Hamas in Gaza.

Also as of August 2026, Rectenwald's LinkedIn said he was self-employed as a book author and was located in Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania.
