Meagan Cavasar participated in an anti-Israel event in Los Angeles, California, in May 2024.

The profilee's activism occurred during Israel’s war against Hamas in Gaza, which Israel launched after the October 7, 2023, terror attacks when Hamas murdered nearly 1,200 Israelis, injured thousands and kidnapped hundreds.

At the May 2024 event, Cavasar held a sign made by the Democratic Socialists of America (DSA) chapter in the city (DSA-LA).

DSA-LA, like national DSA, has spread hatred of America and the police. It has celebrated communism, called to destroy capitalism and defended America’s enemies. Regarding Israel, DSA-LA has expressed support for violence and called for Israel’s destruction, including on October 8, 2023.

An Instagram video produced by one of the organizers showed an event speaker spreading [00:00:38] hatred of America and activists at the march chanting [00:00:00]: "Free, free, free Palestine!"

“Free Palestine!” is a chant used to call for Israel's destruction, acting as a shorter version of "From the River to the Sea, Palestine will be free!" It was shouted during multiple deadly attacks on pro-Israel activists in 2025 in America. It has been used to vandalize synagogues and other Jewish-owned property, and is described as a "battle cry for the death of Jews.”
