Overview

Mahdi Othman joked online about hurting children who dress up as Israeli military personnel and has spread anti-Semitism, as well as hatred of Israel on Twitter.

In 2015 and 2016, Othman indicated on Twitter that he was a student at the College of Staten Island (CSI), part of the City University of New York (CUNY), studying Business Management.

Joking About Hurting Children

On October 26, 2015, Othman joked that he would hurt any child who dressed up as an Israeli Defense Force (IDF) soldier, tweeting a Walmart advertisement of an “Israeli SoldierCostume for Kids,” and commenting: “bes[t] believe I'm throwing rocks at any kid who wears this.”

On April 19, 2017, Canary Mission publicized Othman’s tweet and that same day, Othman retweeted Canary Mission’s tweet and wrote: “And i still would

,.” Othman added later in the thread: “

damn yahoodis [jews].”

Anti-Semitism

On December 22, 2016, Othman tweeted: “F**k acne and f**k the yahood [Jews].”

On June 9, 2015, Othman tweeted: “I want Lebron to win that ring, but his coach is a f**king Jew.”

Spreading Hatred of Israel

On February 6, 2017, Othman tweeted: “F**k Israel and f**k everything it stands for.”

On July 17, 2016, Othman tweeted: “F**k Israel daily tweet.”

On October 18, 2015, Othman tweeted: “F**k math and Israel.”

On October 11, 2015, Othman tweeted: “the whole world continues to watch f**king Israeli scum.“

On October 9, 2015, Othman tweeted: “scum of the earth Israeli punk b**ch army.”

On September 22, 2015, Othman tweeted: “f**kin Israeli pigs man, just killing us for no reason.”
